Refrigerate or not?

Once reconstituted, are you storing your GH in the refrigerator with your HCG, or in a room temperature cabinet with your insulin?

Always in fridge for all of those including insulin

Insulin in the fridge is standard practice for diabetics. That's why portable insulin coolers are so popular. It degrades.

It can be at room temperature for up to 28 system for most of them

GH goes in the fridge for sure but as far as slin im pretty certain the recommended storage for an in-use pen/vial is NOT the fridge. Haven't read the fine print tho.

Copy that. I always stored whatever R I was running in the fridge years ago, so I was surprised to see that the recommended storage for this 70/30 is room temperature below 77 degrees. It definitely shoots much nicer at room temperature.

I was afraid of that. I was hoping to store the GH at room temp because for some reason it’s leaving quarter sized bruises at the injection sites whereas my HGC and my insulin are no problem at all.

I think you can prefill syringes, leave it out for 10 minutes and inject after it warms a little. Same with insulin

IIRC, jano tested this a while back - he shook up a vial of reconstituted GH... as in, shook it with a lab implement for several hours, and then tested it and it tested fine.

He then let the vial sit outside of the fridge, this rapidly degraded it within a day or so.

@janoshik - freshen up my memory a little bit?

Damn, I go through a vial every 4 days but I keep it in the upper part of the fridge door. I can tell it's not as cold as it should be there. Gotta get a fridge thermometer.

he used a sonic bath which is standard for dissolving peptides as per even Aldrich SOP.. ie not the same as SHAKING. IF he had a sonic probe then yes that is far beyond shaking as it actually causes cavitation like those punching shrimp and will forsure break stuff down... a sonic BATH however is much different and different set ups would make it more or less like a true shake... So while a neat experiment FAR from conclusive about how much damage shaking causes, also variable such as if has atm in the vile or not/bubbles from agitation of course will degrade it faster. .. because vile is under pressure/warmed at very least this also makes the sonic bath LESS effective as far as 'simulating' shaking.. that being said, Is it possible tossing a vile in a paint shaker for 5 min even causes NO detectable degradation? maybe, maybe would degrade over next 12 hrs because o2 dissolved etc, still best practise to avoid, but certainly proved a point unlikely hgh rolling in a warm gym bag in ur trunk is going to make it 100% worthless which I think was the point, rather than "shaking" ok or not...

The difference between sonic bath and probe is usually in the power/volume and we use the most powerful sonic bath on market - I'm thinking if it can tear down coins, it can stimulate physical stresses pretty well.

so I have a source taking a long time to send in Insulin. I had to look it up.

I did look this up because I was thinking about tropical areas and insulin storage/transport.

east Africa where I get all my info from ;) but ya American even says will last approx month(prob 3 weeks as think most packages say this) out of fridge and loss of ~1% or less... Although it is best practice as even though loss depending on what type of insulin may be minimal and no chance will be exposed to sun on a counter by accident, it also has benefit of reducing bacterial growth so good harm reduction esp for . just because CAN do something doesn't mean u should. but interesting find! interesting all these peptides I thought automatically explode like nitro glycerin if pumped or get above 8C, turn out to be ok for most part. although some are of course much less stable but not the majority.

Reconstituted generic rhGH should be stored at refrigeration temp. Insulin storage varies by preparation, one should refer to the pamphlet included with the medication for storage instructions.
