Rodgerthat trying to pick heavy things up.

@RodgerThat how many times a week do you press? could be the source of your elbow issues. mine flared up hard yesterday and it fine today. voodoo floss works fairly well if you havent tried that. ive found that and lightweight rows/curls helps

I press between 3x or 4x a week it alternates between OHP and bench each session and the odd week I don't do any pressing at all on Saturday so that leaves me with just having benched 2s and OHP 1 that week. I have not tried voodoo floss I currently use either the SBD elbow sleeves or mark bell slingshot compression cuff and with the cuff on its fine but if it's not its agony
 
45mins cardio with elevation mask on today was great I love that thing. 45min stretch and some mobility work too.

The interesting part I went to my doc to get my post cycle bloods script as I get pre and post done in Canada with the script and as long as the numbers don't come back funny we are good but my doc said we can no longer test for the T and e2 values as we have done it too many times in the few years it's been done so I can only get things like thyroid and cholesterol and RBC this sucks a lot cause now it's a guessing game if I recovered :( but I will still get all the other numbers checked to make sure nothing's out of wack.

No privatized things in Canada. Ya she said its raising eyebrows that don't need to be raised that a 24 y/o has had his T and e2 tested 8 times in 2 years so she said that's it for that for a while

Well at least you got a good idea how you react to everything.

Eyebrows going to get raised when your e2 skyrockets and you cry every time the wind blows though... :confused:
 
Today's workout
Squat 325 5x5 used my knee wraps on the last set as I'm feeling the low carbs hard.
Bench 225 5x5 even though I did bench yesterday I still crushed that
Powerclean 135 8x3 was working out with a high level Olympic lifter so I lightened the load and did as many sets as it took for him to say my form was perfect
Dips BW+45 3x8 easy
Shrugs 315 4x10

I've been having a lot of elbow issues and I've been reading everyone's logs and posts who do and I think it's due to the fact I haven't done a bicep curl in 2 years so I'm gonna start doing hammer curls every other day
Hammer curl 40s 4x12 keeping it light as an accessory kinda think to strengthen my brachial ligament.
@bhog should get a good kick outa that as I hate bicep work and have actively advocated against it as I think it's a useless muscle but I've found a use and it's to even out the imbalances between my tris and bis so my elbows don't hurt. It better make them feel better cause I hate the exercise.

I took the advice from doc n others and started doing hammers again and the pain is definitely receding. Hope it works for you too brother.
 
So today I cranked out a 5am workout been eating my steady 1200 cal deficit trying to lose weight to make a weigh in for my job in February only 5 pounds to go.
Squats 335 5x5 all was good but exhausting and i wasn't recovered from last workout at all
OHP 140 was suppose to be a 5x5 but failed on second set due to elbow pain so went to 115 5x5 and restarted
Deadlift 135x5 225x5 315x5 435x5 no problems there bar speed was on point
Shrugs 315 4x10 all good
Hammer curls 4x12 still hate this movement
Wide grip pull ups 3x8 no problems

So my joints feel dried out my body isn't recovering and I ache everywhere all the time, I've made the unfortunate decision that had to be made to put my program aside and focus on my muscle imbalances and losing the remainder of the weight before I go into my peaking program for my meet at the end of March. So I won't be pushing heavy weight but I will be working a lot on rear delts, medial quad and biceps. My abs are showing very nicely for a powerlifting and during the next 2 weeks-3 weeks I'm doing the recovery and muscle imbalance workouts I plan to do planks every day to keep it strong while I'm not squating heavy. I'll probably work on some light 50% high bar squating too.

I'm sorry to disappoint on the future numbers I'll be pushing in the weeks to come but I promise I'll get back on the lifting heavy once my body is ready as for the past week I've been in fear of an injury and I can't have that right now.

I'll still be doing my heavy deadlift day though every second week so hopefully that keeps you guys tuned in still.

@theprodgicalson I purchased some voodoo floss bands on your reccomendation and hopefully that helps

Also I purchased myself some microplates even though the gym has them because I was feeling left out.

Also I don't like doing curls either. I always feel like a typical douchy 'curls-for-the-girls' bro when I do them.

That's exactly how I feel doing curls! I make sure I'm not looking in a mirror and I don't look at my arms so people know I don't care about it lol it's such a boring exercise I don't know how people like it. When I squat heavy it gives me a euphoric feeling, curls are just dumb feeling :p

I paid 68 bucks because they are colour coordinated and the Canadian dollar sucks huge right now:(

I'm referring more to all the guys I see who go in and do nothing but bench and curls and think theyre the shit lol

I know Im just bored at work and had to chime in. Lol. If they are useless for your goals then no real reason to like them i suppose.

But ya I do need to work on them and although I don't want my arms to grow much bigger (added weight thing not because I don't like the look) it'll be good to get my brachial tendons and muscle up to speed with my tris to get ride of this elbow pain.

I do want shoulders like yours rob can I do that without curls:p

Honestly I think my shoulders are mostly genetics. I've never done anything special or above and beyond. Lots of DB presses heavy side raises and upright row. Was my shoulder routine for years.

Thanks you for the tip, I just copied this post and made it a sticky note on my pc for later on if I decide to get a set.
