Rodgerthat trying to pick heavy things up.

So a bit of unfortunate news apparently I didn't register properly for my meet in March (which is horse shit I did it to the letter and sent my money the whole works) and no is full and I can't get a spot even though they have accepts my etransfer for registry so now I've got to fight to get that shit back. Not what I wanted for my first meet experience. My next one I'll be eligible for is in November so I'll probably be on cycle during it cause that's just how it works out for my ideal cycle plan

Gonna have to call them back and let them know you have a log going on meso so not participating isn't an option, they'll get it. ;)

Keep at it anyways man!

Made some calls had some words with some people and managed to get placed high up on the wait list due to their mistake. The roster was just posted for the crew and I creepily Google their names and no one is really that spectacular o_O unless they have it hidden off of social media id be as serious contender amount the 10 other guys in my weight class which kinda throws me through a loop too cause I wanted to do this to be around guys that were pushing significant more weight and absorb their knowledge during the chumminess backstage

Drop outs and people who don't make it by the weigh in time so basically get to just sit at the competition and hope someone's alarm didn't go off.

Still sounds like fun to me honestly, I enjoy going to local meets if they're around just to watch and talk. But it would be a weird thing prepping for a meet that I wasn't sure if I'd actually be participating in... But if you don't it'll be kind of cool just to watch and take it in. I've seen some guys on the first meet really not do well because they don't have the focus/rhythm or experience to follow the rules properly. Tough to see someone get a no lift on a PR because they didn't wait the extra second to be instructed to rerack the weight by the judge... SO, I think even if you don't get to lift you'll find it very helpful for future meets aside from the mindfuck of maybe not knowing until meet day.

Ya there's 10 in the 83kg class and 8 in the 74kg class. I've managed to watch videos of 3 of the people in the 83kg weight class and there was a 385 squat a 320 bench and 470 deadlift that was the most I saw. Not saying that's the most there will be but from previous videos from the guys I could find on social media that's what I got.

It is a fairly big commitment to prep for it when I should be cutting more weight for work and increasing my cardio but my goals are towards powerlifting I just can't devote all of my focus on it if it's a so so thing.

Give them hell, and make sure they give you a spot if lifters drop out.

This is for yesterday, heavy deadlift day

Deadlift 455 3x3
Pause mid shin deadlift 385 3x3
Rack pull 495 3x3
Good mornings 135 2x6
Stiff leg deadlift 225 2x6
Bent over row with isometric pause at the top 185 3x6
Shrugs 315 4x10

I carbed up yesterday and ate at Maintenence which for yesterday was 4100 calories 600 of which were carbs. Woke up to weigh myself today and my true weight is 182.8. My joints feel better with carbs so I'm going to continue one more week light and cut with carbs in my diet even though I'm not a big fan of it that way and it leaves me hungry all day by I think it will get me through the workouts. Need to lose this 7.8 pounds in just shy of a month. First weigh ins I'll probably need to do some trickery but for sure have to be down in weight before the end of March as I won't be able to do the trickery every week

Took er easy today went in to the gym did some high bar squats, military press, deadlifts, curls and some light shoulders for the pump (trying to make them grow for tomorrow:p)

High bar squat 135 4x10 2 second pause
Military press 95 4x10
Deadlifts with 1inch centre band 225 3x10 these felt great for speed work
Hammer curls 50 3x12
Straight bar curl 95 3x12
For shoulders I did
Shoulder front raise superset with side raise
Rotator cuff in and rotator cuff out superset
Incline shoulder front raise super set with incline back fly
Rear delt machine
Hand stand 30 second holds
Also did abs as I wasn't tired at all from anything I did so
Planks 3 minute hold 3 sets
Oblique plank 1 min hold each side 3 sets
Weighted sit-ups
Decline sit ups
Then big ol stretch.

Tomorrow I'm gonna do morning cardio then at 11 I got my appointment to get some ink put on this pasty body so pretty pumped for that but won't be able to low bar squat for another week after I get it done as it branches onto my rear delt where my low bar rests and I didn't account for that when I planned this Deload. I'll probably do a week or two of heavy high bar until it heals up then go back to low bar

Do you find the planks effective? I've thought about replacing standing cable crunches with weighted planks for awhile and see how they do.

Good luck on the tattoo as well. It's really nothing to worry about for pain. Just make sure you do proper aftercare.
