What causes acne on a course?
Acne is a disorder of the pilosebaceous complex of the skin, which increases the production and storage of sebum by the sebaceous gland. The sebaceous gland itself is formed by specific cells, sebocytes, which are responsible for the production of sebum. These cells, among a large number of different receptors, also have androgen receptors on their surface, with which androgens can bind. Dihydrotestosterone has the greatest ability to bind to androgen receptors. Sebocytes synthesize 5-alpha reductase themselves, helping to convert testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, thereby commanding the sebocyte to produce sebum. The problem with steroid acne is that sebum is produced in excessive amounts and clogs the pores of the hair follicle. After the formation of a peculiar plug - a microcomedon, under the upper skin surface creates a favorable anaerobic environment for the life and reproduction of bacteria and microorganisms, among which the bacterium Propionibacterium acnes plays the leading role in the formation of acne. This bacteria feeds on fatty acids of sebum and its products cause inflammation. This is where the real problem comes in and becomes visible to you and those around you
