i never understood the hatred for sworder, i actually found him amusing the way he would strategically get under peoples skin but when he admitted that he basically copy and pasted the same response to anyone with an injection infection without even reading what they'd said things started adding up. definitely went down many notches for that one.

So if I was a new member who just joined Meso tonight, and THIS was the first thread I read, I'd probably kick myself in the balls for ever creating an account here.

I must say that I am contemplating the above self punishment for myself for the fact that I read every post in this thread.

If you need a friend to find out where an IP is homed you might want to reconsider that you know *anything* about networking or technology.

Everything I have heard you say on the subject is gibberish. "Router" is also not a magic word that protects your location FYI.

He wouldn't care because being online with an IP registered to your home address is akin to calling someone using a listed landline and being pissed off that caller ID and reverse lookup will give them your address.

Associating IP with the *public fucking record* of the location of it's originating ASN isn't a crime or even a problem.

It is the equivalent of having your house number on the front of your house! You fucking put it there so people can read it!
