Russia begins invasion of Ukraine

Putin believes in "russky mir" which means when Russia invades your country they they say "now you are part of the Russian federation. You are now subject to: one language (Russian), one religion (Orthodoxy), one leader (Putin)."

Like I've told you several times now, Russian imperialism is much different than US imperialism. When Russian troops descended on Kiev, Putin was probably planning on replacing Zelensky with his puppet Yanukovych - who would be loyal to Putin. He already had talks with the Trump administration about trilateral talks to make the Donbas independent and run by Yanukovych. But ultimately Ukraine would now speak Russian and be ruled by Putin, with daily tasks delegated to Yanukovych.

Oh yeah, @hometeam is a goddamn expert in the psyche of Russian peasant people because the articles he reads on CNN while sipping girly phaggot lattes in Starbucks told him everything he needs to know.

We're fighting "evil" here...not just making his heroes rich in the process

@hometeam retarded prick - "but, but, but.... Putin is a megalomaniac cartoon supervillain bent on world domination and Russia is an imperialist invading power trying to take over the world"
Not being a "megalomaniac cartoon supervillain bent on world domination" is not a very high bar to set for a world/regional leader with nuclear weapons lol!

And yet you say this about Biden:
"is the same one Joe Biden and the DNC are telling us now is worth WW3 and mutually assured destruction"
"Stop trying to rule the whole goddamn world It would be a better place without Joe Biden too."
"But I know enough about them, and Joe Biden to tell them all to kiss my fuckin ass. As I'd rather cut their necks than shake their hands.
Because Joe Biden doesn't get to decide where I live, what I believe and where my grandchildren will die. I won't bow before the idols of wokeness and empire"
"Joe Biden and the DNC need a Pearl harbor, and they just might stage one"
"What about Joe Biden and his group of thieves and ogliarchs? "
""Joe Biden is far more likely to be thrown out of office for this mess than Putin, and before it's all over, he just might"
"Who here thinks for one second any of the cowards in our current administration would stay in Washington while it was shelled?
Joe Biden would certainly be in a bunker somewhere eating smashed peas and shitting himself in a diaper."
"the lying corrupt bastard Joe Biden would have to admit his own fault in this situation and he won't do that. "
" Joe biden has done more damage to this country than any president since Bush. "
"Have you seen Joe Biden speak? The sack of shit has so much contempt for American people who disagree with his garbage policies"
"This shit is beyond ridiculous at this point. Joe Biden is a fuckin moron. Anybody still supporting him is a brainless, witless fuckin idiot. "
"You think Putin is the problem? Joe biden could've prevented this before it even got started"

Who is the one exaggerating here?

What? You thought Putin was planning on letting Ukraine have a democracy? He wouldn't tolerate any of the candidates (Zelensky, Poroshenko, Tymoshenko) except for his puppet Yanukovych because they are all pro-West.

Lmfao

Ok, let's get out of @hometeam fantasy land where the forces of light and holy liberalism are fighting a depraved evil maniac bent on world domination.

Back to reality.

Thousands are dying in a needless war that was intentionally provoked and being financed by billions of American taxpayers money.

Ukraine has been pounded into rubble large parts are now occupied permanently and they're now helplessly in debt to the most corrupt regime on the planet, Washington DC.

The sanctions have not worked, and mostly backfired.

We're on the brink of a nuclear catastrophe and our leadership is incompetent and shows no willingness to attempt to broker peace.

All the bullshit aside, that's back to reality

I'd also add that despite the American taxpayers paying for this war and supporting the biggest money laundering operation since the Gulf wars, once again, the American taxpayers don't have a single legitimate national security concern in Ukraine today.

This is the same corrupt Eastern European ogliarchy that bribed Joe Biden with millions of dollars just a few years ago.

The American taxpayers have no concern in Ukraine. Washington DC establishment does.

At this point, pretty much every scumbag mercenary and wanna be badass soldier of fortune, including neo Nazi militia groups and Islamic jihadis...all except for that cunt @hometeam is in Ukraine fighting Russia for American taxpayers dollars being doled out like Halloween candy by Joe Biden and the DNC.

But hey, @hometeam is like the little ugly bitch that just wanted to be a cheerleader so bad that she doesn't care if the team sucks or not, she'll still go to the basement or the backseat with one of the players.

You could give the typical democrat of today a gun loaded with two bullets and show them the devil walking down the street with Joseph Stalin and Donald Trump.

They'd put both bullets in Donald Trump and dance in a circle holding hands with Stalin and the devil over his corpse.

Y'all are some sick fucks

Idk Ukraine seems to be doing fairly well in a "3 day conflict" for a country that didn't have a real military until ~2014. NATO countries have only supplied 1.4-3.6% of their heavy artillery but Ukraine was still able to liberate Kherson(R.I.P. racoon you will be dearly missed). Also Russia seems to be conscripting their own jihads(pic).

It's amazing what you can do with several billions of dollars in cash and weapons monthly isn't it?

It's almost like war is simply a matter of money and resources....

Ukraine has already spent more than Russia's entire annual military budget.

They've got every mercenary outfit in the hemisphere on the dole along with the best and most advanced weapons on the planet and free training from the wealthiest nations in the world with the best instructors money can buy empowered and guided by the latest satellite surveillance on the ground and coordinated by the best war advisors in the world.
All financed by the broke and sinking working class American people.

So...They've outspent Russia 5 to 1. They've..... Outnumbered them 3 to 1.

So why don't you Tell me...
What in the fuck has you so "impressed"? Go on... please explain.

Outspent Russia 5 to 1:
Ukraine spent $8B of it's own money according to Reuters (Ukraine's 2021 military budget ~$6B.)
As of October 3, more than $37B in military aid was given(from all countries not including pledged). (From KIEL institute for the world economy)
Total ≈ $45B

Russia's official military budget for 2022 is $75B.
Russia is spending ~ $900M a day as of May causing them to go into severe debt.

Please tell me where you got the 5 to 1 ratio and them spending more than Russia's military budget from.

Outnumbered 3 to 1:
Russia has just under 1.5 million armed forces personnel (2 mil reserves) while Ukraine has around 300k with 900,000 reserves (pic). Please tell me where you are getting that ratio from. I am eager to hear your answer.

I'm impressed by the amount of copium the Russian supporters seem to be sniffing to keep believing all the retreats are just feints or moving to more advantageous positions. I will also be impressed if Russia has the number of active nukes they say they do. US spends 44.2B on maintenance per year while Russia spends 8.6B. I am also impressed with how Russia didn't clean the salts off their weapons before putting them in long-term storage causing them to be the misshapen piece of garbage you see.

I agree with you about how the working class shouldn't be solely paying for the war but that's an issue with businesses such as Amazon not paying enough in taxes. It's only 5.6% of the US military budget that is going to Ukraine as of Nov, 21.

My understanding is Russia normally has a standing military of about 900k soldiers and Ukraine 250k, and Russia does have about 3x the population. Russia also has a navy and air force that has largely been ineffective but require soldiers.

Russia invaded in Feb with about 175k soldiers, +/-25k. Now once they started getting resistance they might've sent some more but they were up against 250k, a similar number. But military doctrine says to assault a city you need numerical superiority of 3 to 1, a major city like Kiev probably 5 to 1, and they just didn't have that in Kiev. They thought they would be welcomed as liberators, no resistance, Zelensky would flee.

In April Russia retreated from Kiev, regrouped in the Donbas to claim some kind of limited victory, and then in May Ukraine mobilized their military to 700k and NATO approved about $90 billion in aid since then, though not all has been sent yet and maybe half of that is humanitarian. That's when the artillery, body armor, HIMARS, and anti aircraft systems came. Kharkiv rout was in Sept. Putin announced the mobilization of 300k in October. Kherson lost in Nov. Ukraine just announced another 200k mobilization, and rumors on telegram and with the ISW says Putin is getting ready to declare full mobilization sometime in the next month. Biden is asking for another $37 billion in aid now that midterms went fairly well for him.

Both sides are claiming about 100k in casualties for the other side and won't give their own, but roughly both of their original forces have become combat ineffective and needed conscription (which requires training and equipment) to become effective again. The Kharkiv and Kherson assaults happened before Russia could field their new force.

But to your point about the copium. Russia has this huge online disinformation apparatus. They used it in the 2016 US election and has used it elsewhere before and since. Putin screwed up the messaging so bad on this nobody in Russia knows what the war is about, or why they're there. It was supposed to be a special military operation against Nazis, but they go to Ukraine and don't see the Nazis, half of them end up casualties by people fighting for their country's existence and they have to declare a draft. And as we know war is a contest of will, so the Russia disinformation apparatus has been working overtime - but their audience is their own people. In contrast Ukraine's people don't need a morale boost or to be convinced this war is necessary, when they put stuff out their audience is the West. They worry the West will tire of supporting them. So they hire Hollywood studios to make videos and have Zelensky speaking in English.

But to go full mobilization the narrative for Russia now can't be that the enemy is Ukraine, the enemy is now the rest of the world, like with Hitler, Napoleon, Ghenghis Khan. And they're fighting almost a million pissed off Ukrainians with NATOs stockpiles.

@Note5464 and also Russia's mobilization has gone horribly wrong for them. It was hastily done, they didn't have any structure in place for it, and they needed warm bodies on the front ASAP. Ukraine has had similar problems but with with Western help it has gone better. But apparently Russia has recognized the problems and wants the next round of mobilization to go much better. And aid to Ukraine has been plagued with theft. There's a lot of corruption and black market in that part of the world, but that's been recognized and next round of aid should go better.

American taxpayers paying for this war and supporting the biggest money laundering operation since the Gulf wars
Fantasies. Biden is 80 years old and worth $80 million, he is hardly interested in laundering money for the Russian or Ukrainian mobs. Come back with evidence if you're going to make an accusation. Now that Republicans have control of the House his son will probably be the most investigated person in America too.

Thousands are dying in a needless war that was intentionally provoked and being financed by billions of American taxpayers money.
Yeah, Ukraine provoked Russia by becoming westernized and friendly to NATO, which nobody thinks justified being attacked. Then Russia provoked NATO by invading a European country which almost everyone in the world thinks justifies Ukrainian aid.

UN General Assembly condemns Russia’s ‘attempted illegal annexation’ of four Ukrainan regions by a vote of 143-5:

Thanks for the information I appreciate it. I am unsure if you are talking about NATO as an entity donating or NATO countries. The $37B I mentioned in my post is the sum of all NATO and non-NATO countries' military aid donations to Ukraine as of October. If NATO as an entity donated to Ukraine then my calculations are off.
I hope the US sends some f15s so we can see them in action before they are retired in the next two years.

Yeah so the $40 billion aid package US Congress approved is actually 50/50 military humanitarian aid, and it's still ongoing. So if you're just talking military aid I could see $37 billion from all of NATO or world at this point. It does seem a bit low though.

The western jets and tanks would be difficult to train the Ukrainians on. HIMARS was tough enough.

While it may seem low, it is factual.

There will be another wave of mobilization. I kind of read in the media that Putin denies this?
