STOCK UP: Don't say you weren't warned! (US)

Look at the track record of trying to keep anything out of the United States over the last six decades. Of course they print news articles about big busts and are always talking big about how they're cracking down. They want to create the illusion that they have everything under control in the eyes of the general public.

Let me make an example for you: TSA. Their efforts, to quote a guy, are full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

LOL, you don't understand the difference between something being "available" with almost the same ease, variety, quality and low pricing as buying from Amazon, and "available" like brown tar heroin from dealer in some shady neighborhood.

Ask the old timers how much it sucked to buy gear 20 years ago to get a clue.
just as easy 20 years ago to get gear from China or Mexico. I’m still getting my gear from the same site I was 20 years ago with 99.9% delivery.

You guys give our government wayyy too much credit. The incompetence is rampant. It's effective enough to save face, and even that's questionable at this point.

Ummmmmm. The 'war on drugs' doesn't get focused into a few large government facilities being sorted by Artificial Intelligence. Duh.

How the can you even compare the two?? Don't you understand what a usps sorting facility does????

What do you thinks gonna happen when a package gets flagged and seized by ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE? It ain't gonna be a confiscation letter like the good old days that's for sure. You really want to gamble with this, or just stock up just in case??

Even if folks DO stock up for years and years. Do they have enough pins and syringes stashed away to last however long until the gear runs out?? Doubt it.
Idk about Americans, but here in Canada you can buy 100 pins for like 20$ on Amazon.

You can go back just 12 years here and see it was a different world. The vast majority of gear was purchased locally, usually at much higher prices than today, fakes were common, lab testing non-existant. This post is very typical of the scene back then.

Now a kit of 10x10ml vials of test is cheaper than the typical price for 1 back then, and fakes are unicorns.

Doesn't hurt to stock up considering how cheap it truly is to homebrew. One deep freezer and some vaccume sealed bags and your good. Everything I plan on using in the next 20 years I'll have bulk off.
Alright! Now the BS is out of the way... F-it, why not? Stock up on 1kg of everything. Bury it under the kitchen floor or stash it into the drywall. I'm down for that regardless.

The only argument I've heard against stocking up for the worst, in terms of a clamp down by customs making the US as strict as some other countries are (like Australia or Switzerland), is the possibility of getting caught with "too much".

Long before they start going after end users in their homes they'll grab the low hanging fruit, by tightening customs.

Besides, none of this is about steroids, or goods produced by forced labor, or "dangerous unapproved pharmaceuticals", or even fentanyl.

The speeches, proposals, plans (already in motion for years) all mention every emotional reason for "closing the de minimus loophole" except the only one that's really motivating the implementation of ultra high tech methods and new laws for the clamp down that's coming.

The $12 they'll be able to collect in customs duties on your $30 box of crap from Temu, times a billion, annually.

How are you preserving your raws so that they are still potent a decade and a half later? Vacuum seal suffices?
Yep, vacuum seal zip lock, dark room temperature. It’s usually kept in my closet, in my stash box.

I used it in lieu of my prescribed testosterone and blood work came back in range. I tried it lots of times, different injection times, results were not different.

This is not confirmed with Jano tests though so take it as you will, however, some of resident homebrewers attest to similar experience.

How do you think gear from China has been getting in so easily? It's not special smuggling routes, submarines, or secret airports. It's just the mail. Or more accurately, large containers filled with tiny packages, that are relabeled with US postage once they arrive in the US. Customs is sent an electronic list of contents, senders, and recipients which customs just green lights (because they're overwhelmed and they can't charge duties on any of it), and bam, it's in.

That's all about to change.

The "De minimus" rule allowed packages with a declared value under $800 to enter the country without going through customs in most cases. Volume has gone up from a hundred million to a BILLION packages a year. Everyone from trade unions screaming about cheap goods putting them out of work to the police saying this is a primary way drugs are smuggled into the country have been demanding something be done.

And of course, it's a huge potential source of $$$ for the government, the primary motivation.

In anticipation of new legislation to revamp de minimus, they've been laying the groundwork to build the capacity to inspect every parcel coming into the country. JFK has a huge new facility, run by a contractor, with high speed conveyors and AI run scanners, on site drug identification lab, that will go on line in January. It'll primarily be staffed by contractors and the company overseeing this operation will be paid based on performance...ie duties charged and packages seized. This is not your typical "I don't GAF" government worker,

No more skipped inspections.

And now the end game, legislation to flip the switch enabling this new regime is about to be put into place. Will probably he law within weeks, though I assume won't take effect until January.

You can stick your head in the sand, call me a "fear monger", pretend gear will be smuggled in "because drugs get smuggled in", blah blah. Yeah, it'll get in somehow, but it sure won't be like it is now, ordering from a huge selection at incredibly low prices.

If you're smart, especially if you're in self directed TRT and really need the stuff, you'll get on it NOW, and stock up on essentials. All gear begins and ends with raws that come from China, there are no US sources.

Yea I can testify I recall late 2000’s when companies like advanced stealth were trying to send in sachets and still getting caught up. Best you could do was have a solid old school domestic brewer and they were sketchy as hell if you did not have an established relation. Test with so much BA that you could cough up a lung. lol. Times change always and this has been going on for some time. ON THE FLIP SIDE, they said Biden had an axe to grind cause he couldn’t make the baseball team but he never did shit as VP or as president. THE PROBLEM IS they might accidentally cut off the opioids that they want to come in kill us all should they start inspecting again. lol

This whole situation of massive amounts of contraband getting into the country is an anomaly. It's a side effect of de minimus making it possible for foreign companies to sell directly to Americans, tax and duty free, instead of shipping large quantities to warehouses like they used to, since they'd have to pay import duties and customers would pay sales tax. It's that huge mass of small packages that hides all the other stuff.

I agree they don't really seem to have been bothered by 50,000 prime age Americans being killed off every year by fentanyl. They finally took a bit of an interest in all the machine gun conversion parts and silencers coming in from China. After some dude in Texas had 17 seized glock switch shipments over 2 years seized they recently arrested him. I would've thought doing that ONCE would be a guaranteed raid but apparently not.

Forfeiture.gov shows a weekly report of everything seized at borders and mail processing centers. It's an interesting read and a massive amount of stuff. Some gear, raws, vials, but not a ton. More hard drugs than AAS.
