The Basics of Ordering Bloodwork

Any one from Jersey use privatelabs or labmd (in pa)?
Site says no Nj residents. Quest in PA says they dont care, but Im afraid when I get there Ill be neg'd if I use a different address on the site than appears on my drivers license.

They don’t ask for ID’s usually unless you’re going for some employment test like a drug test. Just in case bring your passport.

Good idea. Theyre going to love feeding my passportthru their little scanner machines, but thats perfect. Now I just gotta see if I can pay with a card linked to a NJ billing address on walk in lab. Lab md says no.
Our fucking goddam state has to be the lamest in the union

On privatemdlabs
Does anyone know if you can get a hormone panel done with lipids where the test won’t cap out at 1500ng/dL?

I see the proper one for roughly $100 and it will do total test

I see another with lipids but it looks like the test caps out. I’d rather not do the one and order the lipid separate for like $60.

Basically, I need lipids and would like to know my total test in the cheapest way possible.

Edit: I see there is one for like $300+ but not doing that

@Burrr I've finally reached the end of this thread! :D Looks like private labs has added a few tests since this thread began. Just want to make sure I'll be getting the correct panel. I believe the below is what I need to capture the uncapped TT levels as well as an accurate E2 reading? I'll be starting a 500mg split twice a week of Test Cyp and want to see what my baseline E2 levels will be before starting the cycle. I'll know what my TT levels will be by Doc ordered blood work in 2 weeks as I'm rx TRT of 100mg once a week. The issues is the Doc doesn't include e2 at the moment in my bloods.

Hormone Panel with Estradiol Sensitive and Testosterone LC/MS-MS Add to Wishlist $109.99

did you ask doc to ad e2? he shouldn't have a problem with that. its the right thing to do how does he know if you will need arimidex or not (not that you will but you never know some aromatize easily)

Nope NY. In Canada to get bloods you have to have a drs requisition for it. I'm close to NY so far better for me to go there for my bloods.
Total was 34.00 US plus the price listed for whatever test you choose
little pricey but in my books its worth it
Ya it's so different here, but hey, at least we don't have to pay.

Question for anyone who has used quest diagnostics for blood work. They offer total testosterone MS and then I see total testosterone lc/Ms/Ms..both of those test have the same lab order number. Does that mean they are the same testing method? Thank you for any help

If only this included free test as well...

Can anyone point me to the right link for the LabCorp test for someone just on TRT? They changed all tests and the test I use to get now shows it’s $299.

I’m on TRT and I’m going in for my six-month bloodwork with my doc in a few weeks. I’m planning on starting a cycle right after that and getting bloodwork about six weeks into the cycle. My doc uses quest diagnostics for my TRT bloodwork. Should I avoid using quest for my bloodwork I’m going to do during my cycle? I’m curious if he’ll see those results somehow through quest’s system. If quest has me in their system, I don’t want my doc having access to my cycle bloodwork without my explicit consent.
Hopefully my question makes sense and I’m not overthinking this.
Thanks

don’t sign in when you make an appointment. Use the supplied code when you show up instead. I don’t think quest can share that with your doctor unless he was the one that ordered the bloodwork. Not 100% sure. If you’re really worried use labcorp instead

would you happen to know which test I should get on the privatemdlabs site just for TRT alone? They switched the site up and the female hormone panel I used to get now shows that its $299 when it used to be around $60 that I would order.

Sorry, I don’t. I’m still trying to figure out which lab I’m going to go to. I haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

I noticed this a while ago to last time I checked their site. I did notice at the same time they changed the LabCorp prices that they also added in an option for getting drawn at quest. And when I looked the quest prices were significantly cheaper (slightly cheaper than the old Lab Corp prices). Although I haven't checked again recently, but this was just about a month ago.

Noticed pricing has changed since the original post, I'm a bit lost trying to figure out which test to take pre cycle.

Hormone Panel (MALES ONLY) - (QUEST DIAGNOSTICS)

Description: This is our Hormone Panel for Females utilizing the Male Only Testosterone test. This Testosterone test will result out faster than the LC/MS/MS Testosterone test included in the Hormone Panel for Females and will provide actual results for levels up to 3,000. This Testosterone test will only be performed for males.

Is this what I'm looking for?
