As I assume many of you know the positive effect anavar has on healing skin in burn victims, at a therapeutic dose of 20mg a day. This has been proven in multiple human studies conducted over the years. There was also a rat study conducted where they looked at the wound healing effect anavar has at a dose of 0.1mg/kg/dag, the conclusion was that it helped heal the wound faster than the placebo group and the healed wound was stronger in the group that was given anavar. They concluded that nutrition plays a big factor in wound healing, protein is very important for any wound to heal, most importantly collagen. I quote: “The use of anabolic agents can significantly increase overall lean mass synthesis and directly or indirectly improves healing by increasing protein synthesis.”As you may know skin is made out of type-1 collagen and anavar boosts this recovery significantly compared to the placebo group. Now comes the question, tendons are also made out of type-1 collagen. Would it be safe to assume anavar will also boost the healing and recovery of injured tendons? There is currently a human study underway that is looking at the effects anavar has on people with a full rotator cuff tear, unfortunately this study will end December 2023 and results are expected December 2024.
