Training Log - MacBuilt

The TRT really has helped, when I started it in 2017 it changed my life recovering from injuries and surgeries. Then last year I had two major shoulder injuries, not gym related, that set me back further. I decided to try an NPP cycle and it more or less healed my shoulders while I made noticeable progress. Now I'm able to take full advantage of the higher TRT dosages and get things going.

I had a similar story. Got my baseline test fixed and great things started to happen.

Great approach for minimal gear and maximum emphasis on diet and training

Before TRT I wasn't miserable but I didn't realize how much my quality of life suffered as it got worse over time. I pretty much had every low T symptom in the book and when I found a doctor willing to prescribe it was amazing, I forgot what it was like to sleep through the night, not have hot flashes or mood swings. I wasn't counting calories just to not get fatter. Luckily two of the girlfriends I had around the time I started liked to fuck a lot. The second I was with later on was turned on 24/7 wouldn't make it out of the bedroom for anything but food for 2-3 days sometimes. I kind of miss her for that reason alone, even before TRT I was trying to coax the women for twice a day. 200mg/week just made it worse.

...... I’m not here to create clients who only know how to do this with drugs nor try to make my service seem like a magic pill by pushing drugs, making guys do hours of cardio, or dieting them to nothing from day 1 just to see fast results for some neat progress photos......

That's one of the things I don't want is a dependence on drugs, used as a tool yes, that's what lead me lurk this forum for a few years. However, AAS is a tool, just like proper diet and exercise are (bigger) tools to meet those goals.

I'm conflicted between laughing and cringing on a lot of the threads people start, asking what cycle to run and when asked what their training or macros will look like they have no answer and they follow up with another question about how many mg to run of tren for 16 weeks.

I'll admit I ran my Test/NPP cycle a little cavalier but when I wasn't seeing the results I just looked back at my diet (eating out) and exercise (hotel gym while on the road) and I knew drugs weren't to blame, I hadn't done the research and made a good enough plan for the circumstances I was in. I lost 15lbs while recovering from two massive shoulder injuries which anyone should be proud of but I could have lost 25lbs, and it's not the drugs fault it's mine for not utilizing training and sticking to it.

Slept like shit again, comparatively speaking. I’m taking part of the day off to make some schedules and checklists for both training and personal stuff to keep me better in line and reduce my to do list after work/gym. I’ll sleep in tomorrow then go to bed at the proper time regardless of what’s going on to help reset the rhythm. Nothing horrible, but an hour or two here or there adds up by the end of the week.

Meal prep is going to take a larger role in my plans this weekend, labeling and adjust cooking order so it’s doesn’t take half a day. My folley from last week was I didn’t cook meals for this weekend, I’m used to eating whatever chicken or turkey I have defrosted already.

I’ll be using the old gym today and the new gym tomorrow, as the old one will be closed.

I’m walking to the kitchen to heat up a meal and there’s donuts and kolachies lined up in the conference room. Get to the kitchen and the counter is filled up with tacos.

Fuck this job. That is all.

Stand strong! It gets easier the longer you string days together. Don’t worry, cheat meals will come!

This is why I'll never see below 10% bodyfat :(

When I started this job nothing like that happened, I start back in the gym and all of a sudden they want to take the office out for lunch and cater shit. Then last Friday I walk into meeting surround by fresh donuts. Now this.

It’s cool though we'll see who has the last laugh when I’m not following their business dress code cause I’m popping out of my shirts. My legs are already popping out of my dress slacks, one pair my calves are popping too, looks like skinny slacks on me.

The fuck is a kolachie?

The fuck is wrong with you that you don't know this, I've been all over the country and world and everyone has something like this. It's basically a roll with a fruit filling or a meat cheese filling. Think gigantic pig in a blanket.

The fuck is a kolachie?

Work week is over. Legs still sore and people looking at me weird when I get up until I get some movement going but this was all expected with how hard I hit legs on Wednesday. I joined the walking club at work, basically a bunch of people wanting to feel good about themselves for walking a mile or two. Whatever, gets me out of the office and I burn a hand full of calories.

I'm noticing a much more vascular look at least in my arms during workouts and the pump I get from chest is sticking around longer for a fuller look. My chest was the worst thing on me my whole life, no upper pecs and my lower sagged like an old tit. I spent the last 5 months trying to focus on that with more incline dumbbell press and cable flys and it's starting to pay off.

I liked the supersets and greatsets in the workouts all week until today. I needed an incline bench to do a few exercises in the cycle and some dude had weights all around it and left his drink, bag, and phone on it while he went off somewhere else so it threw me off in the middle of the sets. I'm usually a nice person but it pissed me off and I didn't want to start anything because of the way access to the place is set up.

It killed my drive in the rest of the sets and bought the workout quality down. I like them but I won't be disappointed if we drop circuit sets like that in the future as I won't be giving up equipment and waiting to get it back. To me it's workout quality before all else, I like seeing results, so as they roll in I'll enjoy whatever diet and workouts are getting me there. Someone asked me today If I was tired of eating the same thing everyday this week, I didn't hesitate to tell them I enjoy it, it's fuel for my body to achieve my goals not some sugar coated masterpiece to impress someone and I miss nothing.

@mp46 if the new gym isn’t big enough to support those kind of complex sets we’ll trash them. No worries. Let’s see how the first couple days go.
