Everybody is different. I spent 10 years on a very restrictive diet. I lost 150lbs and kept it off. Now if I eat any more than 1500 calories a day while not on gear I get fat. I have to keep my carbs very low or I just blow up.
Your going to hate me. Hardcore ectomorph here. I average 5000 cals a day and barely grow off it. Fuck, my morning shake is nearly 2000 cals alone. I did GOMAD (whole milk) for almost 6 months straight and still had visible abs by the end. I don't think I've ever gotten to double digit BF since I was a baby. I've TRIED to get fat, I cant!
I've got friends though they even look at carbs they get fat. It's pretty incredible how people's bodies can react so differently to the same conditions.
