What R U Eating ? ~OGH wants to know.....

It's hard to really keep a turkey moist. It's just the nature of it. Lmk how it goes though. I've only done a couple of them.
Everything I've cooked on the treager comes out moist. I used to really struggle with chicken breast being dry, that is a thing of the past with the treager
Have been waiting for the thread to blow up today and looks like it's picking up steam. Logan I"m surprised at your comment on the molasses, thick and rich stuff and seems like it would be great for a brine and just general flavor. Molasses anything seems to usually be on point vs. straight sugar especially in the BBQ/grilling world.

@OGH waiting to see the OGH alchemists concoction that you are famous for... maybe some turkey covered w/bacon and spam + stuffed with fresh tuna ??? :)
I may have jumped the gun with that comment. My brother did the same brine on his and said it turned out great. I was just worried it gave it a weird color when I pulled it out of the brine. I'll keep y'all posted

Alright guys. I’m in pain. Dessert is Apple pie, pumpkin pie, and CARAMEL PECAN CHEESECAKE. With vanilla Blue Bell of course. All homemade from my amazing cook of an aunt-in-law. Then the dinner is everything you’d ever want on Thanksgiving (I didn’t have room for cranberries or deviled eggs so she brought me some on a side plate). Best sweet potatoes I’ve ever had.

You definitely win the dessert plate of the thread so far... that one is epic. Blue bell vanilla alone is pretty much untouchable and at the tops when it comes to traditional ice cream.

Dead quiet in here today. Everyone still sleeping it off or what? :)

Yep! I'm still turkey drunk myself. Wish I could of got some pictures but we have a rule in my family, ''No phones while eating". I'm blessed to come from a big southern family. I moved two hours from them some years back and on my drive out there yesterday morning it really hit me how lucky I am to have such a family and how one day I will wish for this time back.

Hope everyone had a good one as I did.
