am i reading it right, only 127 g protein for entire day?

Just a little protein prep a few pounds chicken breast and a few pounds lean ground beef, 91/9% to switch it up “same fat content”, I’ve been eating a lot of fish lately, 1 day Salomon 1 day cod ect to not get too Much fat from the salmon because I already have whole eggs and avacado in my diet, plus a little ext virgin olive oil.

I love this griddle, it has a smooth side and a grill side, occasionally my chicken can come out hit or miss, bbq, oven, or stove top, when I use the griddle it’s always perfect and juicy, just slice the beasts in half if thick so it cooks evenly.

Yeah .. dieting to cut is still having me figuring how to lay out my food. My weight is 160lbs 5'5" -- I believe I should be around 15% BF at the moment (maybe less). What changes would you do?

if thats a cut while on gear i dont see the use of having so much fat in your diet eat cleaner. You can eat so much more dropping the fats to like 30 grams or less a day you can eat 270calories more just in carbs or protein i would also shoot for 160gr of protein a day thats protein from direct sources (dont count protein from oats and vegetables etc)

I see your point, not to make an excuse but I think previous weeks have been better, but now that I've decided to take proper note I'll be able to better track and adjust. I'll adjust this in the next days and post again, I think today I'm a little around the same numbers but I'm going to fix tonights dinner.

from my experience as far as fat loss vs muscle loss in a deficit , keeping your protein higher makes sense as to not waste muscle loss with your fat loss idk if that makes sense but i would definitely get at least 160 g protein per day imo

if you simply added 2 oz of chicken breast for a total of 8 oz per meal that would be one easy way

Appreciate your input, I'll work on that now and make the right adjustments for the next weeks.

Alright, so I have adjusted macros and tried my best to keep a similar approach for 2 weeks. These are the numbers:

1727725239670.webp

And this is how a average day looks like:
1727725193184.webp

I have only dropped 0.5 lb - but I can see some difference on the mirror. It could be some body recomp or that I still need to go lower on calories. Not sure, but I'll be consist on this unless some other adjustmens are recommended.

I had been using a meal delivery service for the bulk of my meals since I can't really cook all that well. The food was great, but since I am trying to add size currently the caloric levels and marcos were just plain inadequate to get me over the finish line daily without shitloads of supplementation, so I figured what's the point? Couple of examples of the meals they sent:

So yeah, quite tasty but expensive. They did offer a double protein option for the meals they would send, but then we would have been talking some pretty serious bucks, so I decided to dump it and take total control by handling things myself.

Here is one of my own creations. Not nearly as tasty, but much easier to get in everything I need without having to overly depend upon supplementation. Just pour that entire skillet into a large bowl and I am good to go. I am starting to get marginally better at cooking too of late, which is bonus. The only thing I don't like is that I never get to eat dinner with my family in the traditional sense anymore as I always have a special meal just for me while the fam eats what my wife makes for her and the kids. Daddy always has "ucky food".

I first only looked at the pictures and thought that the best looking and most delish dish was the third.
Then I read it was the one you made and the other two were delivered to you ready made. Cooking is a pita and I have become very lazy with it.
But what you prepared is fab. Those "chefs" got nothing on you.

Thanks bro, I really appreciate that, though you are giving me too much credit. There is honestly not lots of rhyme or reason to my dinners each night. Shitloads of protien, shitloads of veg and normally either rice, Quinoa or some type of beans to fill things out.

What I have gotten better at over time is mainly how to season things to make it much more palatable.

I also agree that cooking in general sucks. It is one of my least favorite activities, but it is so critical to success that It's just one of those things I felt I had to up my game in.

Mass quantity protein. This brisket I just took out this AM after having been in the smoker overnight at 220. Did not really get the 'bark' out of it like I was hoping, but got a decent smoke ring anyway. I normally spend a lot more time and attention with smoking meats, but I had thawed it out and then forgot about it over the weekend so it needed to be cooked pronto.

Lots of brisket as my dinner protein source for at least the next 10-14 days.

Come on now...
This is not fair.
And I have not had dinner yet.
How far, exactly, are you from Europe?
Drool deluge

Is smoked brisket even a thing in European countries? I have not ventured to very many countries across the pond, but I can't recall ever seeing it there. But if you ever find yourself in Arkansas, USA, stop on by and I will hook you up.

I guess it is not.
I live in a big city where you can find places that sell it (like restaurants and market stalls).
But you are right, it is very much an American import and part of your culinary culture.
You do find smoked meats, in various forms, in different European countries.
This thing you made is unreal
:)

It's not man, although we have great quality meats like lamb, mutton, various cuts of beef and pork etc that bbq stuff you have there looks outworldly. Everytime i see Joel Hansen eating these massive platters i drool. I'd kill to have a brisket and baby ribs. The pulled pork stuff's not my thing but the beef ones, damn..

I could eat Shepard's pie for breakfast launch and dinner. Or anything those Balkans make.
