What R U Eating ? ~OGH wants to know.....

if anyone cares... whole eggs, salmon/sardines, maybe some chicken or beef.
sautéed onions in olive oil and tomato sauce, and garlic.
big broccoli and cabbage salads with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
almonds or almond butter. coconut oil.
tea with lemon. I eat the lemon rinds too. black coffee. and ginger.
those are my staples.

Broccali & cabbage salads . Sounds good . Another compact diet , void of junk & useless calories . :D

Yea you can burnt-out on chicken , actually anything . And nothing beats a good steak . Just make sure you allow yourself plenty of time to digest it before you sleep . (Steak is a slow digester)

Last year I did the "Vince Gironda steak&egg diet" all I ate for 1 month was steak&eggs ! It works , I lost fat and retained muscle but it was expensive .

Sounds insanely delicious. I went to bed 30 minutes after consuming the steak lol...I had food coma.

I have some more left and a cured filet mignon which I will cook on my cast iron skillet along with some potatoes and I will add eggs to it
God I'm starving...

Would you believe my cholesterol & triglycerides were perfect after I did this ? And yes it was whole eggs and fatty steaks .....Blew me away ! But I wont be doing this again ........

Absolutely nothing surprising about that result when someone understands biochemistry...and ignores the raft of BS we've been fed for the last 40 frikkin' years:

http://walquist.net/index.php/component/content/article/48-a-heart-healthy-porterhouse-steak.html (A Heart-Healthy Porterhouse Steak?)

"Up to 70% of the fat in a porterhouse steak improves the HDL/LDL ratio, and the remaining 30% of the fat does no harm to the HDL/LDL ratio, implying that eating a porterhouse steak rather than bread or potatoes would reduce heart-disease risk. Taubes points out that the same conclusion holds for lard and bacon.

NOTE: The above analysis does not include the additional benefit of lowered triglyceride levels from reducing carbohydrate intake. High triglycerides are strongly associated with heart disease, and also with a high-carbohydrate diet; they fall on a high-fat diet. Triglyceride levels also have a strong inverse correlation with HDL; when HDL is high, triglycerides are low, and vice versa."

OGH- here is my meal plan, never deviate other than I do not include meal 6 on off days. Just upped the portions recently. Everyone please critique.

Meal 2: 8 oz. chicken breast, I cup brown rice, broccoli, 1 tbsp Mac but oil

Meal 3: same as 2

Meal 4: same as 2

Meal 5: same as 2- preworkout

Meal 6: immediately post workout- 60 grams hydrolyzed whet, 60 grams waxy maize

Meal 7: 8-10 oz sirloin steak, 14 oz. red potato
