What R U Eating ? ~OGH wants to know.....

Keep it simple Ink - 6 oz cooked egg noodles (yum) w/ 6oz chicken cubed-up. Pick-up some "Better than Bouillon" chicken bouillon base (Walmart), its the best and use a sm tsp mixed in with the cooked pasta/chicken . Not too much because its salty , but thats my break food away from rice . Pasta has a bad rep , but it has no more carbs/calories than rice . Just dont go overboard . Good stuff , report back....~Ogh

PS- theres also a beef version of Better than Bouillon , works great for Beef and Noodles and Beef Stews....

Im gonna make a ton of it to get me through the next 5 days or so.. im on a 5 day weekend b i get once a month at work andill be busy busy so I'll have this made up and on hand for convenience... Ill sit down before I makeit and calculate the ratios of pasta to chicken so I can get the macros as ideal as possible..

Im about ready for some pasta there Ink - day 4 of the Keto-diet finds me tired & drained . Been dreaming of donuts & oatmeal . And Honey-nut Cheerio"s.

The keto-diet is going the same as yesterday , 8 (4/4)eggs in the morning , 8oz chicken/2-3 oz nuts for lunch and 8oz beef/salad for supper and a whey protein(2 scoops)/1bsp PB drink x3 inbetween meals . Thats 6 meals a day . 250-300gm protein /45 gms carbs/100-120+ gms fat . ~Ogh[/QUOTE]

think it took me ~10hours to throw in the towel..

Im probably going to finish the week in keto then introduce carbs on workout days . I think its good to get the carb cycling going with carb restrictions . At least in the beginning . Monday I'll squat/bench then later I'll carb-up for the first time . ~Ogh

have you heard of carb backloading?
I don't know much about it but a few guys at my gym are doing it and they swear by it
 
Well Im in Keto for sure , did a keto-strip and got dark red . Plus my stools are floating and almost white (sorry bout that) so Im passing off fat it seems .

Breakfast is the same as yesterday, lots of eggs , blah-blah-blah.....~Ogh

Make it thru the weekend and Im gonna carb-up Monday . Have a great weekend !! :D
 
I don't know how you guys do it. I would hate the keto diet! I've always been pretty good about eating well balanced meals. My theory from a young age was to eat as much lean meat and vegetables as I could in one sitting and repeat. I really only eat eggs, chicken, turkey, beef, fish, fruits, veggies, oatmeal, rice, and nuts. Absolutely nothing else, ever! That's a lie... I'll do bread once in a blue moon. I eat until I'm full and I eat often, 6-8 times a day. I would be interested to see how I react to a carb restricted diet. I have a feeling that I'll never find out though. Haha.
 
OGH are you dropping any bf with the keto? Its something Ive been thinking about doing in a couple weeks when I make a mad dash for 15%. protien powder pancakes for breakfast, then back to veggies - meat - eggs for the week.
 
Those first 5 days on Keto is the worse. I about to go on a strict 6 week run. I shred on Keto though.

I love Sunday mornings bacon, eggs, buckwheat blueberry pancakes. Sundays are the only day we eat all meals together as kids get older you start to relish small things like this.
 
My Keto-dieting adventures ends today , damn near got crushed yesterday trying to bench a weight Im quite familar with . The strength wasnt there . I mean totally gone , so thats it . I value my strength as much as my looks and I cant handle physical weakness in myself . I'll be squatting today to further drain my glycogen reserves then its carb-up time .ALL day. The diet ends today . ~Ogh

No telling what kinds of extensive damage a week without carbs couldlve played on your mental health;)
