Reminds me of a steakhouse I used to cook at . Blue cheese steak sauce/Portabello shrooms was our signature meal . Damn the calories , just give me more ! Thanks for the post JBZ.....hopefully that chest is healing up nicely . ~Ogh

Following the Keto here as well. I have yet to find anything else that leans me out so well and retains the muscle I've worked so hard for. Don't have to be in a very significant deficit for it to be effective either.
On a side note, what are your thoughts on Omega-3 eggs, grass fed beef etc.? With as much meat/eggs as I eat on the keto is it worth it to purchase this way?

There really is a difference in the Omega-3 eggs , like twice the good fats as regular eggs . If you eat alot of eggs either get some hens and raise your own (not a option for most folks) or buy cheap eggs for the whites and Omega-3 eggs for whole eggs . I eat both plus I have a few hens (not big producers).

I boil alot of eggs , the cheap eggs I eat the whites only ; the spendy eggs I eat whole . Theres a big difference in the yolks....~Ogh

PS- The same for beef , the grass-fed has better nutrition , but I eat more of the cheaper cuts ....

hit my oatmeal with a protien shake this morning. felt pretty good
snack was cple oz of pre cooked shrimp, bananna.
did some lifting at home to get a pump..
lunch was cup of brown rice, 6 egg whites, 8oz chicken breast w/ another shake.
mid day, i hit another piece of chicken and another cup of brown rice.

I actually do the exact damn thing with eggs. Cheap ones for boiled whites omega 3's for basically everything else. I eat a shitload of eggs hopefully one day a few hens are an option

Gd!! i did get a protien shake in as well.. also a second serving of corn on the cobb , and cple extra ribs... cant believe im coming in so low

Hey tileguy just drink milk with ALL your meals man that is the easiest way to increase calorie and protein intake. Start out with 16oz and try to increase over time. Its affordable and cheap. Veggies like corn and green beans shouldn't surprise you that there killing your calorie count cause shit man there aint much in em. The only reason I eat veggies is for fiber and digestion aid THAT'S IT. But save your money on the extra meat and increase milk. You do look great but now you gotta BULK brother

im not really sure i understand what your saying about the green beans and corn, there not a staple in my diet. there the extras that i add to a meal so i can have some variety. Spinach and shredded lettuce is 90% of my macros.. lol

Had to catch and early train today so breakfast was a cool 1k calorie OregonStrong protein shake. That was a few hours ago and I'm hungry again.

I think the test is kicking in, I've been eating like a truck the last few days and my weight is up. Was 193 this morning but that was with clothes and shoes on, so probably 188-189. That's awesome cuz i don't look or feel water bloated.

Eat on boys

Im just sayin that corn, green beans, lettuce and spinach all have a good place in a diet just it doesn't help much at all toward the calorie count. Since your deficient in calories its better to eat heavy carbs next to your meat intake. Potatoes, pasta, rice, beans, bread etc...just trying to help man

i get it .. the corn and green beans or any greans for that matter never really factored in. And i dont think i am as low as was thought a page back or so. im really not defecient. ive been tracking for the last cple days, and im more like 2200-2500 on off days, and 3k + on lifting days.. the help i needed was understanding macros, which my app has helped, and the advice above on the break down, like 350 carb , 350 protien.. with like 50-70 fat. then i needed to understand it from a simple view like 7 meals each being 1 cup of rice, and 1 breast of chicken for a carb source and protein source about 50 carbs, 50 protien, and understand that if i sub rice for pasta, or potatoe, itll be the same. same if i sub chicken for prawns, or chicken for steak, or chicken for shake. I wasnt ever factoring greens into it. if i did, id have to add the 3.5 grams of green i smoke a day

i appreciate the lactose reccommendation, but id drive the ol lady right out of bed with that ideah.... ;)

@tileguy123 not sure if you know this but you can go on the myfitnesspal website and change the default meals they have setup. I have 6 meals in mine, I think by default it comes with 4 setup for you. Just in case it bugged you like it did me
