That's the style, @Eman
- rip (2) 3" pieces of tape
-prep site, cotton ball and alcohol or iodine or both if you wish (atleast use 1)
-hold needle with thumb and pointer finger
-place torniquet on arm
- anchor other 3 fingers on forearm
-15 - 30 degrees angle
- Bevel up
- go for the AC (bend of inner arm)
- Lock elbow of arm to be drawn (stops vien from rolling)
- You'll feel a pop when you enter the vein
- Reduce angle and slide a little more than the bevel in
-You'll see blood flow, if not pull back a little
-place tape on plastic coating of butterfly
-relax, pop / remove torniquet
-Remove needle
-place gauze over site
-direct pressure and elevate above heart for a few mins
- place bandaid or tape or dressing over gauze
Notes
(Avoid the knots in your veins go above or below it, knots are normally a valve)
All this assuming you already have your lines hooked up.
Going off memory guys... And it's hot as balls out here.

Be sterile and have the EMT's number handy 911 (jk)...
If you end up having a problem you'll be unconscious and won't be able to dial 911 anyway. I can always tell when I'm getting faint though.

It's nice out now... I cooked up the meat and potatoes under sunny skies. Soon as we sat down to eat I saw the clouds coming... we got done eating and could see it was raining in the mountains. Walked everything in as it was starting to sprinkle. We were about three steps from the door and it let loose with a downpour lol. Perfect timing. Grabbed a shower, banged her out and now it's nice out again. Been a nice little Saturday.
