Private sources shouldn't be talked about, no one is saying that.. The only reason this was brought up is you had a pretty messed up way of getting business..
I'm sure you'll be sold out in days with all this publicity.. Hopefully nothing else happens that needs to be brought to light..

I agree with everything said in this thread so far.
I would like to pose a different angle as well, that sometimes we as the community make (vulnerable targets, I.E. Noobs)
There are countless posts asking for a source, there are not many sources on meso. There are a plethora of reviews, but sometimes these are buried under countless useless posts. When a new person asks for a source we tell them to read through what can appear as 5 years worth of reading, we all know they are anxious. How many of use compare getting gear to xmas?
I wish source threads had sub forums, ones that indicated testing done, bloods, and user feedback; along with a sub forum for all the banter that goes on, both during the vetting process and long after that is over.
If we had some way of indexing our sources, it would be a lot less daunting for our impatient newer people to find the types of information they are looking for to make their decision.
I believe this is where the "secret" PM'er comes in, they see newbies asking for help (I.E. show me a good source), and then the resounding shutdown that usually occurs from our community. This makes the PM'er look like a life saver, the only one who would actively reach out, they have a few conversations (and like I've seen some other newer members do here) they start to feel safe with the person, based on "judge of character I.E. how you write to me bro" rather than on the community testing (I've even seen people defend themselves after taking this risk).
If we wanted a stronger community, maybe we should act like one. Keep a collection of source posts we can direct them to, that currently are in good standing, rather than saying go read.
I must conclude with I have never accepted free gear, nor would I ever PM someone a source, I have also been guilty of telling newbs to read (I feel more ashamed of this after Brutus' post, and my thoughts on the subject).

Things like this new to be addressed, it will keep us tighter when I comes to these issues again. If anything else let's hope some noobs read thru this and heed the warning that if a vet messages you with source info for no apparent reason don't take the advice.
