Can't imagine the American brothers got Stampede wrestling down there back in the day.
Dynamie Kid and Bret Hart interview:
Well, well, well ... actually, when I was a little kid, my dad had one of those old school satellite dishes, and we got Canadian stations, including Stampede Wrestling out of Calgary!
Also, I use to read about Stu Hart and "the dungeon" and read stories about the guys who came out of there.
True story - one of my high school teachers was a HUGE fan of independent wrestling territories, and bc I had that old school dish, I could record Stampede, Championship Wrestling from Florida, Deep South, Mid South, World Class out of Texas, etc, etc. I would record those shows shows for my teacher, and he would make sure that I had a good grasp of what to study for on exams. And, NO, I never spent the night at his house!
But, yes, CDNGUY, I def know Stampede and the Hart Family and those tough ass rasslers Stu produced!
EDIT: On a side note, I also learned a whole lot about the opposite sex and how to maneuver my way around the female anatomy by watching the plethora of adult channels that could be found on that satellite dish! Peter North set the bar quite high!
