What dose it take to be a competive bodybuilder these days.

Sorry for your lose Shredded, I also have a dog who is very special to me and couldnt imagine life without her....Keep your chin up and push forward...

~Cheers

Sorry for the late reply we had a bad Christmas, as you maybe aware my dog has been sick for a little while and on Christmas day he started vomiting, we cancelled Christmas to make him more comfortable but buy boxing day its was time to lay him to rest.

We put him to sleep 2.33pm on boxing day, its taken sometime for me to come to terms with it hence my absence from the forum. Im doing my best to get back to some normality and in a few days will answer your question, thank you for your patience and understanding, stay tuned.

Yeah mate he was my best friend so Is missed so very much.

Guys I plan on getting my shit together buy the end of this week, it will leave me 8 weeks out from the Arnolds and its time to get out of the foetal position and get this done.

I will start buy answering some questions on comp prep as I see it and will post a picture of progress so far, it can be a log if you like, that way it will in some part say thank you to all that have followed this thread and be my way of putting something back.

Just on the thank you theme it truly blows me away that people I have never met can say such nice and supportive things, im very grateful to have found this board and to all that have had something nice to say I send you a very heart felt THANK YOU.

Ok so here is the start, I think we can put together something that will be competitive from here. A couple of leg pic to kick things off.

@shredded You have incredible leg development! Just look at that web of vascularity. Very inspirational and best of luck when you compete! I am sorry for the loss of your best friend. My dog was very close to me as well. I know how difficult it must be for you and I'm wishing the best for you.

Thank you for your kind words, just you guys taking the time to be a part of this is great, I look back on this messages when dieting gets tough and it gives me inspiration, im giving this a lot of effort so lets see if we can bring something to the judges liking.

Thank you that's very kind of you to say, im using it as motivation, he was such a strong dog he fought cancer for over two years when they gave him no hope of making 3 months.

Its such a strong bond you form so now every time I think im tired or can't do that last set I think how strong he was fighting his fight. He never complained, wanted to play with his Frisbee right up until the end.

So with that In mind i harden the fuck up and get on with it lol.

Your gonna make one tough ass 50 yr old , this yr ? Amazing size & vascularity ! ~Ogh

That's definitely the plan, in hindsight last Octobers non placing was a blessing in disguise, I have requested feedback from one of the judges but he informed me that due to my text message regarding feedback being rude and aggressive that he would not be contacting me about this matter.

Now I think you guys have got a feel for the way I go about things and would be scratching your head in bewilderment as I was. This judge in question is 6'2 and all tated up.

I think he must sit down to piss, I suggest he never frequents boards like this otherwise he may just need counselling after some gives him a serve lol.

This just reinforce what all my colleges had been saying, they can't give you any answers because they know it was a shambles.

Well thank you just made my journey a whole lot easier, im using your lack of respect for competitors as motivation and anger/frustration can be a powerful tool when used in the correct manner.

Here is another picture from yesterdays chest session, my top half is generally not my strongest point but I have made some slight improvements.

Im new here, but for what its worth my heart goes out to you on the loss of your dog.
I know how you feel as ive just lost one of mine after 14 years and there is not a day goes by i dont think about him so i feel your pain. [emoji20]
But besides all that you look amazing brother not only that but you are very inspiring not only to us 40+ guys but everybody else on here. Good luck in your upcoming comp, you look ready!!

put on your spray on tan and your ready for the stage. you shouldn't need to diet down much from were you are.

That's the plan mate, I like being ready early if possible.
It gives me time to play with various types of carb load/deplete methods.

Not only that if all goes to plan I can actually eat into the show which in the past has worked well. Still no time to get complacent and start congratulating myself, lots of hard work to be done yet and im quite aware my competition will be at the top of there game.
