Layne Norton on training

off memory I think Monday was upper body power, Tues lower body power. wed was a rest day, Thurs day chest hypertrophy, Friday leg hyper, sat back hyper (?), Sunday rest.
Pretty damn close except back & shoulder hypertrophy Thursday, chest hypertrophy Saturday.

I've liked it so far. I guess the lack of volume per body part is keeping me from feeling too rough after each workout. I like the frequency tho.

Been doing this workout now for 4 weeks, It was a big increase in lower body work for me, As I have tried to warm up alot to get to the heavy sets and at twice a week it leaves me super sore, especially my hamstrings which I find out I have been neglecting lol

Once you get serious about leg training the rest of your training becomes heightened and it separates the wannabes from the ballers.

Keep stretching those hammies bro, tight hammies lead a sore back more often than not for me

Very true that, i always go by the saying 'strong legs, strong mind'

Been working legs hard for last six months with high volume power-lifting squats. I have always had a little problem with depth and this program sure highlighted my hamstring weakness. stiff legged dead-lifts are wicked on them, especially since they aren't that hard since my back picks up the slack and pushes them to hard

Im liking this so far. Its a bit different. The last 8 months i been using weightedchinups program. Adjusting to this one is a bit rough. They follow the same principles. Different split. WAY different rep scheme. Its hard to transition to 12-20 reps with 90 second rest. Not even done with the first week yet

I have been using this for 3 weeks or so to date. I think im gonna drop the program
1) the workouts are tooooo long. I have roughly 1hr15min to get my workout in in the morning. Every one of these days minus the back/shoulder hypertrophy day and chest/arms hypertrophy day are running me 2 hours.
2) i dont like the setup for lower body hypertrophy day. I cannot do hams and quads together. 1 will always suffer. If i do quads first i cant stand or function properly to do romanians
3)there is a pretty ridiculous amount of volume on some of these days. And i dont believe i can play with it enough minus cutting exercises alltogether. Butchering the program

These are my critiques

Best fucking thing I have heard all month!! In fact one of the most undeniable facts in my experience...
