At 20°C (68°F), benzyl alcohol’s solubility is approximately 4 grams per 100 mL of water.

Hospira’s recommended storage temps are 68-77 degrees. @68 you can make 4% bac water I wonder how much colder it would have to get to make less than 1%.

I doubt that happens to any appreciable extent, and anyway, what's stopping them from getting back into solution with a little shake

yea the idea is just so no chance of freezing is my understanding.. otherwise u couldn't keep reconstituted HCG in the fridge either as would "separate". I think its more of the seal can break when frozen and alcohol evaporate.. not sure where I heard that tho...

You would have to raise the temperature too.

Bottom line is the manufacturer puts room temperature on the bottle for a reason and you aren’t extending the shelf life by putting it in the fridge, so why waste the energy.

Does Hospira/bac water actually expires? I only use one bottle a month so buying 25 that's two years worth, I wonder how long it can be used past expiry...

I store it in the fridge and don't worry about expiration. Some people here have argued to store at room temp. Whatevs. This is not something I'm worried about. It's cheap enough to buy via medexsupply new if you're worried.

I got a kit of BAC from QSC before I found MedEx and I'm still using it up. I have had no issues with the QSC BAC but it's almost gone and then I will start using the Hospira.
