Exactly. That’s a fucking dumb ass thing to do.

Being a dumb ass shouldn't get you shot by the police. If they were arresting him, why didn't they take him down before he reached his car instead of tugging at his shirt and pointing their guns at an unarmed man.

If I pointed a gun at an unarmed man, I would go to jail, period. That's how it should be, badge or not.

Dude was already tazed, but still going for “something” in his car. Could have been going for a weapon. The cops don’t know. Dude wouldn’t have been shot if he complied.

All I saw were two cops walking behind him with guns drawn and pointed. The guy was stupid for not complying, for sure.

I'm saying the cops should be held to the same standards as everyone else. Don't draw on an unarmed man. If they were arresting him, they should have have taken him down, not drawn their guns. Their actions were almost as stupid as the guy they killed.

If you have already tazed a guy, he isn’t complying with directions, he has not been patted down, and is trying to go back into his car for a possible weapon then the cops aren’t going to not draw their pistols.

With the way things are now cops are hesitant to even place hands on anyone (not that the first resort is to shoot) due to possible resistance or an attempt to take a weapon away and use it against them.

I’m not saying I agree with shooting the guy multiple times in the back, but I can understand the mindset they were probably in. Anyone can pull a gun on them in less than a second and kill them, so they are trained to expect and react to the worse. When this guy didn’t go down with the tazer, didn’t comply with directions to stop, and went back into his car to potentially get a weapon, they have the right to use deadly force at that point.

It’s a bad situation, but could have easily been avoided by the suspect complying with the directions.

i wonder how much media exposure and how many opinionated retweets this story would have generated if it was some inbred hillbilly from a little town in the deep south that only has one stop light and that no one beyond a 50 mile radius has ever heard of?

Nada. Even the 5yr old boy who was shot, had 48hrs of coverage...if that.
Regardless, if he was armed or not, the media and the like dont want to spin it like that. "Innocent black man shot multiple times in back in front of children"
Get the fireworks and spray paint ready...

The only thing the cops could have done differently was tackle him before he open the door to the car.

I think it’s a justified shooting. he could’ve been grabbing for a gun in the car.

Assuming this is true, the cops did have reason to draw their weapons. I haven't seen the second video yet.

Kenosha Sheriff Says Arrests Are Coming After 2 Killed During 3rd Night Of Mayhem
...

Update (1030ET): A second cell phone video of the officer-involved shooting of 29-year-old Jacob Blake on Sunday has emerged, showing the incident in a slightly new light.

The footage showed Blake fighting with officers before he took off and ran to the driver’s door of his vehicle with police on his heels (video showed). The video suggests he may indeed have had a knife, and had ignored orders to drop it, before being shot.

It also suggested that Blake's girlfriend lied to police when she claimed he hadn't been hostile.

Another witness filmed part of the encounter between Kenosha police and Blake on his cell phone from across the street, but that video didn't show any scuffle with police.

Blah blah. It’s easy for little cops to shoot. This is an American problem. Why does the rest of the world not have these constant headlines? Black people are all over the globe

The thin blue line is strangling is

You’re comparing apples to oranges man. You can’t even begin to compare the US and its people to people in different parts of the world. There are so many different things that come into play.

They’re not all humans? Why is it ok to shoot and harass citizens in the US? Things aren’t that much different, other than I think we live in a pressure cooker similar to third world nations.

does great economic disparity justify this police behavior?
