So using your logic, if I beat 3 cops who are trying to detain me, I can go for a knife in my vehicle and expect them to do nothing. After obtaining the knife I can attempt to kill them all, or hurt someone else without any repercussions.
Still doesn't change the fact that after he was able to escape from the cops he made a choice to try and go head first into a vehicle with a knife on the floor. He didn't choose to run or comply he made the choice he made.

It was on the news...i saw this all the way in NY...and dude is already arrested, charged, and will probably spend the rest of his miserable life in prison... now if only black folks can get that kind of swift justice when shot by cops with no discipline.
Now your speculating, no one knows what he was going to his car for, he could have just as easily been trying to drive away...
and by your logic this gentleman should have been shot...he even threatened to kill the cop ..

what do you think he was doing when he was going into his vehicle? what should the cops have done just let him get in and drive away?
No one knows, all anyone can do is speculate...and if prevents a cop from being injured, then yes you let him drive away...i've seen cops do it before, and pick the guy up later with significant reinforcements...what we do know for certain is there was no knife on his person and no gun in the car..and if the cop had created distance between himself and Blake instead of hanging onto his shirt tails...he probably wouldn't have had to shoot him in the back 7 times....
