Oh got it, you'd rather draw from the 60? than multiple times with a 10?
Not quite. I'd rather not draw at all but pour into a 60ml then use the 60 with a 20g to fill sterile vials for myself. Basically this eliminates need for a septa though I do like them.

Why the hell are you pouring into a 60cc syringe then injecting into sterile vials? That’s level one stuff when you syringe filter into sterile vials. You might as well switch to open sterile vials and cap yourself.

What's your method for sterilizing the bottle and the caps/septums

Filtration Porn

Here is a post I put up a while back. There was a suggestion to use alconex instead of Dawn detergent due to a film being left. But I have never noticed a film from Dawn. I have noticed other dish detergents will leave an oily film after rinsing.

I throw the caps in isopropyl about an hour before I filter and and bottle, not exactly the most sterile process but it suffices. Glass is cleaned with alconox, rinsed with distilled water then into alcohol bath for final rinse. Then go into the oven at 450 for two hours, allowed to cool to room temp then the process is repeated, tops get covered with foil.

@XmadXscientist could write a manual and if he did...it should be the top sticky. He has it dialed to a T!

Ha thanks! A lot of the stuff I’ve shared has come from other members on here too, @XKawN @Docd187123 @colossus25 @LordSamuilo @TRT

It’s not about what you can see though brother man, dealing with things on a microscopic level. Alconox is used in labs and readily available so why not?

Right on, I appreciate you chiming in!

Trust me. I’m not disagreeing with you. Just that if there is a film it’s much less than other detergents. I have never had any Alconox before and will have to order some before my next home brew.

I know what you are saying but my living situation (kids etc), this being 100% personal use, and having lots of sterile vials on hand makes this a lot easier than sterilizing tons of vials, stoppers etc. Hard enough doing media bottles. Don't get me wrong, I've thought about it quite a bit but this suits me best. Filling a handful of 10cc bottles lasts me a long time. Just want it to be easy. Otherwise I'd go cap/crimp and dispenser for sure.
