Yeah I agree. I am a fan of all animals
I heard ferrets have a huge personality too!
I can vouch that they do. They have scent glands and put off a musky, fairly pungent smell, especially when kept in a small / smaller enclosure. They love to explore and play too. They can be potty trained and leash trained as well.

I had one when I was 18, a sable. She was awesome, super personable, funny, cool, interesting, a total thief of anything shiny, but they definitely stink. Eventually we put a 5 ft piece of 3” diameter pvc pipe outside the back patio, attached to the house, for her “home” instead of her cage. She loved it, would come in and out of the car door, always come upstairs in the living room and run around to say Hi and Che k on everyone, and she like to play with the cats. Awesome animal if you ask me. I remember at the time I had a ported 18” speaker subwoofer box in my room. Things like my stepmom’s earrings, watches, coins, shiny/metallic wrappers, etc, kept disappearing. One day I saw her dragging an empty Doritos bag into the port, and when I checked there was a whole plethora of “treasure” in there she had been collecting.
Loved her. I named her Switches - dorky, yes, but back then I was into the Lowrider scene and had a ‘63 Chevy BelAir Wagon on hydraulics, and the way ferrets slink and arch their backs reminded me of raising and lowering my car, which had 10 switches. I was a dork. My dad renamed her Molly and pretty much adopted her when I went off to college.
Definitely a cool pet, but illegal in CA for stupid reasons. I just moved to Phoenix, not sure if they’re legal in AZ. I should check it out, because I wouldn’t mind getting another one.
I’ve been looking into getting an Asian / Oriental small-clawed Otter, since they are the only legal Otters to own in the US, don’t actually live in water (just need a swimming area, like a small kids plastic pool), are awesome and super fun / friendly from what I’ve researched, I loooooove Otters, and they kind of remind me of a ferret.
