DNP (Dinitrophenol) On the Long Run

Good evening everyone,

A little while ago I got interested in DNP, or dinitrophenol. DNP helps you to cut fat at an high level because your metabolic rates increase significantly (for everyone that doesn't know, a full explanation on how it works can be found here: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2,4-Dinitrophenol ).

I am planning of having my first DNP cycle in about a month or two. I would like to know a little more about this substance from people who have taking this for a decent time. The other posts on this forum are very outdated (last post years ago) and the people who posted there haven't been active for quite some time. Therefore I have the following questions to experienced DNP users:

- What are the effects if you'd take DNP for a longer period of time, did you notice anything?
- Would it be possible to use DNP in a 'permanent' way (at low dosages of course)?
- Did you feel like a specific part of your body lost more fat than others (e.g. your belly)?
- Is it in theory possible to go like 1-2% fat on DNP? (This would not be my goal though, just curious)

Thanks for answering my questions!

Good night.

1. Never took it for a long period of time. I'm not a fan of being a guinea pig for poison. I generally follow the protocols that didn't lead to death when taking my poison.
2. Of course its possible. I hear Alaska is nice.
3. No. The fat came off exactly as it always does. In my case, the least desirable way possible.
4. Is being alive by the end of it a requirement of this theory?

Seriously. I've only taken DNP once for 2 weeks. I planned 250mg a day. 5 days in I got ballsy and upped it to 500mg a day. I kept my AC at a constant 68 degrees for the rest of the time. You'll get results and likely won't die if you follow what many others did who got results and didn't die. Why would you ever want to be the one to try something new when it comes to a substance like DNP?

When you say prolonged periods like more than two weeks?
Seems ballzy for a first time. Follow protocol. first complete 10 days then reconsider your options for the next cycle.

Good night.

1) as far as I can tell, which could be off, the same as for short periods of time just more likely to happen with longer periods.

2) sure you could use it permanently.....I just don't think your body would be very happy with that decision at all.

3) no

4) at 1-2% BF you'd be in the morgue with or without DNP. The body needs some fat for survival purposes. Ppl can temporarily get down to 4%, maybe 3% stretching it, for short periods of time but it's almost impossible to sustain this for any length of time.

- What are the effects if you'd take DNP for a longer period of time, did you notice anything?

Among death, loss of sensations, overheating, dehydration, cataracts, and you smelling like total yellow asshole, one of the symptoms rarely talked about is peripheral neuropathy. It is incredibly painful/limiting and permanent, but the probability of being afflicted goes up with extended use - even in low doses. ("doses ranged from 1.86 to 3.53 mg/kg/day, and durations ranged from 10 days to several months")

For this reason it's not recommened to sustain for too long if you are susceptible to PN as you're just increasing risk over time. Personally I also think that would be really uncomfortable to sustain DNP effects for a while on even a low dose for only a benefit of a few hundred kcals.

- Did you feel like a specific part of your body lost more fat than others (e.g. your belly)?

No, generally speaking you can not "target" certain areas of fat (lipo doesn't count ;)). It will be lost and gained in the same pattern, with the stubborn abdominal areas and lower back to go last for men (typically). There are some drugs with act on the high concentration receptors in these "stubborn" areas and mobilize fat further like yohimbine, but this would only be relevant when you are lean all over elsewhere

- Is it in theory possible to go like 1-2% fat on DNP? (This would not be my goal though, just curious)

No. There is essential internal fat (organs, brain, nervous system). In women it's a lot higher than in men which is a large part of the reason they have higher "healthy" body fat percentages.

I do think there is a safe way to take DNP without issue (and knowing when to stop if something goes wrong) but I do think you have your homework cut out for you bub! Very easy to fuck up. Here's a handy link with some of the basics (warning it is a google link if you are logged in and worried about that)

Thanks for replying everyone!

I have read and studied basically everything I could find on DNP and how to run cycles (as a starter). Most of my questions were meant to be hypothetical, I would never want to go to 1-2% bf, I guess I don't even want to go down to 6%, but answering these questions give me a better understanding of this substance, for which I thank you all.

I still hope to find one of you that has been using DNP for a longer period of time, much like this thread: https://thinksteroids.com/community/threads/longterm-dnp-usage.134258894/ . I need to find a more recent answer to this though.

Again, thanks for answering my questions everyone. It's highly appreciated!

A user here named niloluiz did a lot of research and did the longest sustained run I've seen. Sad to say he started to develop early onset PN (ironically he was the guy that brought mention of it to that forum some months before). It's a massive thread but you can see how it progresses

Thanks for sharing this thread. Had a quick look at it and it seemed very useful, will take a better look there tonight!

As for any other people reading this post. Is anyone currently on a DNP cycle? I would like to PM one of you who is with some personal questions about DNP!

Thanks again

Haha. Not an unreasonable conclusion. But again in spite of all the effects and possible risks, I still think it is somewhat "safe" to do in the sense that you can control your dose, length of cycle and watch your symptoms before any harm is done. It's just fucking miserable and makes you really hungry! Not my thing.

Just say NO to DNP , its junk , doesnt belong in the human body . No one I know is using it , forget about it !! ~Ogh

PS - if thats you in the avatar you need solid training/food first and foremost.....

Thanks for responding,

However, I do not need people telling me if I should or shouldn't use this. All I'm interested in is information on how to use this properly. I am going to use it any how, so don't waste your time on writing these responses. And yes, it is me in that photo, a little over a year ago though. I have since then finished my first cycle and the results are stunning. All I need now is to get rid of the fat.

Why not just diet and exercise...

Same counts for you.

Have a nice day both of you.
