I don't know if this suggestion will help anyone, but at first my insurance didn't want to pay for it. They called it "cosmetic surgery" and they didn't cover that. But I prevailed because I wasn't getting it for show. I was getting it because it hurt and was limiting my ability to do work in my chosen profession. And yeah, that was actually true. For as swollen and painful as the breast tissue was, it was not visually noticeable at all. I mean you could certainly feel the swollen tissue by palpitating (fondling) with the fingers. And ultimately I did prevail and they paid for getting both sides done. One other thing I'd suggest to anyone who gets the surgery, don't have them do both sides on the same day. I got one side done and then a couple months later the other. Like I said, it is pretty painful for a couple of days after and you will not want to move the arm on that side very much at first. If you get both sides done and, say, there's a lot of tissue to remove you will end up having to persuade your wife to wipe your backside for you for a day or two.Got the surgery but there’s still a little glandular tissue that swells up from time to time. Plan on eventually getting a revision surgery but for now, what’s there doesn’t really bother me.
