Don’t call it a comeback

That would give you a good deadlift kind of workout. Just be careful with heavy tire flips. They’re notorious for torn biceps if you move your arms wrong.
I’ve seen that. Damn. Being that you train SM, do you think they’re worth doing, as far as benefits are concerned?

So the fire hall is still open but they closed the fitness room? Did they close the bathrooms too?
We are paid on call so dont live at the hall. The entire hall is closed, when we get a call we go in and respond. When we return we got an bunch of extra decontamination protocols we follow before we leave.

I blew my bicep out at the elbow doing a move similar to that. It was with a fairly good sized rock/stone. Probably 150 pounds. Grabbed it and my left hand lost a bit of grip, went to get a better grip and continue the lift( stone was off the ground) and POP. I've heard of guys blowing out biceps moving equipment around in the gym also. Crazy shit.

Seems like it’s the luck of the draw when it comes to biceps. I’ve heard a lot of stories too. The worst, tho, come from over/under deadlifts.

Another conditioning circuit

  • Tire drag, 50 yards (80lb kid)
  • Hammer to tire x20
  • Tire overhead throw x10
  • Suitcase carries 150lb x25 yards per side
  • Repeat x3

  • Clean and strict press 150x8
  • Floor flies 35s 4x8

Spent the day cleaning at the new house. Took some measurements while I was there so that I can space out the gym.

Gonna start by sealing the walls with hydro seal before doing anything else. Gonna keep the right side of the beams as basement space and build the gym on the left side.

The measurements aren’t bad, 286 sq ft / 87in high... I was most concerned about the height for the power rack—but it’s all gonna fit, with room to spare.

Ceiling height still may be an issue with OHP though. My basement is 96 in and garage was 100 in

Didn’t expect this to happen...The railroad threw a wrench in my gym plans and laid me off today. Time to lose my gains and get fat(ter).

Damn. I figured anything transportation related would be able to weather this storm. My backup plan was to get a job for fed ex if I get laid off

Just till the Corona thing is over?
undetermined are the moment. We were contracted to them and they’re experiencing a huge loss in volume, so they let us go at this facility. I’m hoping when it picks up they will call us back.

That’s what I thought too..But there’s so many aspects of transport that some parts are bound to be affected. Sucks that it was ours.

On a good note, though, unemployment is paying +600 a week more than it was before the virus. So my pay won’t change much...I’m just skeptical of spending so much right now because I’m not sure if I’ll have my job back when this is all over.

I herd our Union is doing something like supplemental unemployment on top of the regular unemployment. So I guess if I do get laid off I’ll just have to budget. Probably pick up some side work , Little odd jobs or what ever

@NovaFlex you still alive?
Yeah, lol. Spent the last week+ moving into the new place and getting settled. Finally getting to the garage today to uncover the bench and shit.

on the plus side, I found a decent size tire I’m gonna high jack tonight. It’s sitting next to an old tractor at an abandoned farm house lol. And my battle ropes will be in this week.

Stopped the Tren cycle, since it would just be a waste right now. Have enough for an 18 week cycle when I get my gym set up.

In retrospect, I think I may have jacked someone’s good tire. There were 4 and they all had decent tread.

oh well. Gains need to be made.
