Thanks. Still more to go. But the fluffy layer definitely is part of the 'powerlifter' look. I was lurking in the thread where GG was saying powerlifters are HUGE...gave me bad feels, man :*( lol

happy, I didn't mean it in a bad way... I apologize if you took it that way... I just based it on the few I see at my gyms and they are solid girls and the guys are massive and they have a lot of size and strength... looking at your pics, you don't look like the typical stereotype woman powerlifter that I imagine and see daily... I know nothing about that lifestyle, I'm first to admit it, hence the reason I don't interrupt RogerThat, Jaymaximus, Eman, you ladies or anyone else discussing lifts or technique. That's not where my expertise lies... I do it strictly for aesthetics. I just absorb and make mental notes. I did mention you guys inspired me to do more booty focused work with some 'powerlifting' twist... so I am learning :)

To a certain degree, a powerlifter will have more fat and bulk to their physique as you need to eat to make strength gains and it helos with leverage when lifting heavy weight. So when comparing a bodybuilder at competition time or a hobbyist BB who likes to keep lean...yeah. it's true. But there are a lot of crossover competitors who do both and vary between weights that is easily cut and then bulked. ;) no offense taken. I'm in the middle anyway.:P
 
I'm going to have a midsection shaped like a barrel soon. Like all the crossfit chicks the BBers like to shit on LOL. As long as I keep some fat on my arse, it should balance out ;)
I consider myself a bodybuilder but don't dog on crossfit girls at all. I have so much admiration for them and their physiques!
 
I don't do oly lifts/gymnastics. Not coordinated enough lol.

I like her physique a lot but the upper body is too much for my personal liking. I find a lot of femininity in the collar, shoulder and cleavage area. Her traps are super built!
 
My fiancee is wanting to learn power cleans. I'm not the greatest at them so we'll see.
the best way to teach/train the olympic lifts are breaking it down in to smaller exercises imo. Get her doin rack pulls/RDLs/deads/pulls from blocks, upright rows/ bent over rows, front squats. Practice flexibility daily and rack position...it will take a few months before you put it all together but you will have a much better foundation

I want to master oly lifts, but like you, I'm so uncoordinated!

I can't do a proper clean for the life of me. They end up being reverse curls, lol.
