Gear review

Was thinking for that price would be a solid gamble. It sucks not having a store nearby that carries this shit.

Thats with pretty much all gear that is heavy lifters use. Everything is online. And I have ordered a lot of stuff that comes in and doesnt fit the way I want. I learned a tape measurer is my best friend.

Ain't that the truth. Dicks doesn't even carry generic sleeves or leather belts.

Finally tried out the A7 shirt. Since I cant lift like normal I wore it for some close hand bench. It works as advertised. I dont know if everyones seen the back, but it is slide proof.

It also fits well. Hangs just right, especially if you have shoulders and a chest. And the material is crazy light. Really comfortable.

Its a winner. If it wasnt so expensive Inwould definetely get a few more

I have some A7 super lightweight shorts, that I wear above my UA compression shorts. Keeps you nice a dry, and doesn't bind up. I'm probably going to get the shirt, too.

Edit: scratch that. I have "A4" shorts...

I saw someone talking about shoes, so i figured i would chime in with the last pair i got:

Single flat sole asics snapdown, available in a 2E width. Good for deadlifting and squatting in my opinion. Basically like being barefoot with ankle support. Available on amazon for 60 bucks.

I don't know why the link didn't work - anyway they are asics snapdown and are about the only wrestling shoe i ever saw offered in wide. Best thing for deadlifting since sliced bread.

Got some stuff. Got a larger slanger cause my XL didn't fit got some strong sleeves cause my SBD don't fit and a hamstring cuff for sprinting and they tossed in an XL tank top which fits like a fucking dress I couldn't believe how big it was usually I wear L-XL everything but I think I'd be a medium in their tanks

I'm still waiting on my slingshot sleeves to come in stock for large.

Me too man I've asked 3 times over the past month and a half they keep saying in a couple weeks. So I got the strong ones for heavy workouts and want the slingshot ones in large for the oly workouts and crossfit training. Also ya I don't want pink so I'll wait for the blacks to come in stock lol

Well 3rd time using my strong sleeves yesterday and 1st time going into the 400s with them, they definitely don't have the pop out of the hole that SBD has nor are they as robust and don't give the same stability but they are easier to slide on and that's why I bought them. Hit 455 for single no issues and then easy 405 triples with them. I'm more confident with these sleeves on and they definitely do the job but for competition I'll still be wearing my SBD... Not like I could wear the strong though cause they aren't approved in most Feds cause it costs too much doe.

XXL slingshot was a big jump in arm size from the XL so that was nice comfortable slides up, hit 365 for 6 singles with it so does the job.

Hamstring cuff, I measured at 25 on the meatiest part of my thigh and ordered 20" cuff it helps hold the hammy and quad but doesn't give quite the compression I was hoping for so I think if I need to do another purchase for MarkBell products I'll get the 18" one but not worth the shipping and duty charges just for that (got fucked with $52 duty and 28 dollar shipping usually it's no duty and 12 dollar shipping so wasn't incredibly happy about that)

Man my XXL is pretty snug. And I told you the leg cuff stretch. I was thinking of getting a 20 when the slingshot sleeves come in. Should I go lower?

Interesting on the STrong Sleeves... All the reviews I watched online said nearly the exact opposite. I don't have a comparison, but I like my STrong sleeves. Maybe I should have got some SBDs :(...

You got bigger pythons then me man! I'm thinking 18" honestly we have the same measurement I think and for how much they stretch can't really see a problem if anything just hike em down a bit on the leg.

Naw man if you like what you got great! They are both amazing sleeves I'm just being hypercritical cause I'm the "gear guy" here so I want to really cut into it in any way... Plus SBD would be infuriated in the future when I land them as a sponsor (I'm dreaming) if I said STrong was better:p

Idk man since I've been strictly PLing they seem to be shrinking. I need to fix that shit. I may not be able to DL or Squat next month but I'm gonna bench a shit load and be shredded lol. I'll go with a 18 then and see how it feels

What the?!?!? There's that Crossfit word again. I almost feel like I don't even know you , bro

Few things to post on up.

Sabo goodlift shoe: absolutely loved my sabo deadlift shoe so bought the goodlift as I was given a great deal on it, unfortunately it is the least comfortable shoe I've ever owned and is incredible stiff in the wrong places and the leather used to make the shoe seems incredibly cheap 100% dissapointed with these. Sabo deadlift shoe is great though 100% reccomend that bad boy to anyone.

Bench blokz: this is a pretty neat tool for working on sticking points, I bought the 2-5 board block and use the 2block cut out to work on a sticking point I've had just a couple inches off of my chest, worked up to 275x5 with it and then used the 5 board notch setting to do some tricep overload to fatigue. This isn't a need to have like the slingshot for benching but it is a nice to have especially if like myself you are running a non strict program and can add in accesories and variations whenever you want.

Liquid chalk: wanted it to workout in the rec centred that don't allow regular chalk and I pull hookgrip so chalk is needed. Said it has a better hold then chalk but it's basically like putting silicone on your hands just it doesn't dry, it's more of a tacky substance that makes you feel like Spider-Man when you touch a wall but it does almost nothing for effectively gripping a bar, in short I used 2x and left it at the Rec centre in the power rack for whoever wants it.

Good to know about the liquid chalk. My gym is actually closing forreal forreal this time and idk how the new place is gonna feel about chalk so i was gonna look into that as a possible alternative.

this is single handed has saved me beyond belief. if anyone is dealing with elbow tendon issues i can not recommend these enough. Iron Rebel Monster Mini compression cuff. im amazed by how much they help.

im not an avid lifting gear guy but these are a must have for me along with a solid belt. if i could only have two pieces of equipment in my bag it would be these and a belt.
