I just noticed this thread (Hell, I just noticed this section!) so I haven't been through the whole thing yet. I'm not going to comment on GG since I don't know enough about her to judge one way or the other, but I will caution members not judge someone's level of knowledge based on their current physique. Physiques change all the time and anyone who has spent many years training will have gone through periods when they've looked good and others when they've looked like warmed over dogshit. However, just because the physique is gone, or not what it once was, or even never was, doesn't mean the knowledge went with it. Just the opposite.

For example, would you take serious training and AAS advice from this guy?

What about 5 years earlier when he looked like this?

My point (and believe it or not I do have one) is that we should judge the quality of information members provide rather than how they currently look, before deciding whether they're credible or not.

Meso has always been an evidence based forum rather than one that relies on the degree of physical conditioning of its members as a determinate of knowledge. I've noticed we've been moving away from that a little bit lately so wanted to try to move it back.

I understand what you are saying and completely agree with you, but in this case she has yet to prove she was ever in that condition. She sent us girls a full body pic of her currently, including her face. Pics of her bra, pants, one in the car, old pics in a bathroom, but apparently any of the pro body building pics she claims to have is asking to much. She only posted one in the thread, with her head completely cut off. It just doesn't add up. Mix that in with the fact that she was called out publicly for being a fraud and has had this issue on other forums for the same thing and it starts to stink. Not to mention the private messages and couple other issues mentioned in the thread.

It's really not a big deal, She may know what she's talking about, but based on what I've seen and read, I'll just be scrolling right past any advice she gives.

I hear you. Like I said, my post had little to do with GG as I don't know what's going on there. It was more of a general cautionary message about avoiding the temptation to presume that great physiques equal great wisdom and credibility.

But I like the way you think/evaluate credibility. There are lots of frauds in this racket and avoiding scams depends greatly on your ability to identify the BS artists. Be thankful you weren't here when we had the reigning Greatest Man in the World. That clown took BS to a whole new level.

I managed to slog through 25 pages of this train wreck hoping to find the smoking gun that would condemn @GearGodess to a life of exile from Meso and I still haven't found it. I gave up looking after 25 pages because if it hadn't been posted by then it probably wasn't coming later.

I'm still not sure what she's supposed to have done that would warrant the taring and feathering she's getting.

The thread title suggests she's guilty of scamming but no victims have come forward to say they were scammed.

Apparently she shared a private source in PM with a few people she knows. Is something wrong with sharing private sources with people you know? I hope not because almost every member here that has a private source got the referral through a PM.

I understand the source in question showed up here a few days later and got banned for soliciting those people, however I don't think any evidence has been posted that proved GG conspired with the source to solicit noobs - something that is definitely a no-no.

The nonsense about GG's physique not being what she claimed isn't even worth consideration, nor are the complaints that GG has given bad advice - or more properly, given advice that someone didn't agree with. Hell, 99% of the so-called vets on this forum have given advice at one time or another that I haven't agreed with. And so what if she did give bad advice a few times? Does that negate all the good advice she's given? Because from what I've seen, GG has given a lot of great advice and it would be Meso's loss if we lost someone with her, to borrow @Dr JIM's term, fund of knowledge.

And what's with everybody demanding that she post pics to prove she is who she claims she is? When did we start demanding that people post pics - for ANY reason?

So what am I missing? All I see is a repeat of the lynching Mindlesswork received a few weeks ago. Lot's of drama and personal grievances and piling on but short on evidence of any wrongdoing.

I think you missed how the whole thing started. She actually started it by creating a group PM with all the girls. I think a couple of girls may have had suspicions, but none of us really cared at that point. She started bashing odie and going on an on about her pictures. Odie got word and the thread was created. Non of this would Have come about if she hadn't gone on this unnecessary attack. No one gave a damn about her drama with odie until she made it public. We asked for pictures because she kept incriminating herself and digging herself deeper and deeper into a story that just didn't add up. We figured, she could post a pic and that would threre wouldn't be any more question. Unfortunately, the pics didn't work in her favor. So we asked for the professional pics and you know what happened from there.

Basically, this would've never happened if she had started it. none of us cared enough to go on an unsolicited witchhunt.. there is a whole different side of this in pms with the girls that you can't read. she kept digging herself deeper into this hole of lies that youreally just couldn't help but call her on it. Like, I said though, she opened the flood gates when she went on the attack (and kept pushing the issue harder than a Normal person

I think most of us wanted to believe her at first, at least I did, I had no reason to question her experience until this whole issue went down. Unfortunately, It was like a giant train wreck of backtracking, off-the-wall stories and things that really just didn't add up. Again, it's all not really a big deal. I was supposed to greet him with a "hi monkey" code and make sure I told him GG was supervising my cycle bc "he wants to make sure I'm doing it it right".

You may want to think it was a coincidence, but it was far from it.

All the girls were in a private conv with GG where she just kept feeding us lie after lie.
She claimed to be a fitness model, Who has run 2638474 cycles and competed.
We took advice from her thinking it came from experience, it's all Google based.
She's in multiple boards, gives advice left and right, all so she can make business behind curtains.

I don't have an issue with members sharing private sources with people they know. That's the way it's usually done. Soliciting strangers, particularly noobs, is a different story, and AFAIK that hasn't happened with GG. Do I have that right?

This is exactly why I've always urged members to evaluate the quality of the information rather than the experience of the person giving it. Decisions, especially those affecting your health and freedom, should be based on logic, not logical fallacies like appeals to authority. FWIW, there are probably less than 3 people here whose opinions I would accept at face value.

Meso's critics are right about one thing: we pile-on those unfortunate enough to get caught in the spotlight. There's a real mob mentality here at times and it's ugly. I don't object when it's directed at scammers and sources, but now we're starting to use it against fellow members and that is a slippery slope.

We saw it, plain as day in the pics she sent us through PM. She has gone back and deleted them since then.

Again, she started the lynching. This is a clip of her 1st message that she sent to all of the girls "Hi Ladies, I need to know and set a few things to rest... my 'friend' Odie who I have known a while on here as well as on other boards has been not quite trustworthy lately and not very loyal as he claimed he was... till he got jealous others get more attention than him..." That was followed by a lot of shit talk about odie, more bragging about how awesome she was and basically calling us out to clear the air.

The 1st couple responses from us girls were that we had no idea she was involved in drama. She kepttttttttt pushing it and talking shit so it got back to odie and the thread was created. Trust me when I tell you that it would have never come to this if she hadnt pushed the issue. She created her own drama
