Well played sir. Lets take a step back, and look at this thread: It started as a most reasonable question by Stretch. It then devolved into a pissing match.
Now lets look at the forum as a whole, and we will see that 98% of all threads here follow the same pattern. This devolution is is why all the hard core power lifters left this forum for TID. TID is full of competitive body builders and P. lifters. Everyone helps everyone, and rarely do we see the childishness that we see. here. I have also been guilty of being dragged into pissing matches, but after my next few comments that will stop for me. I think the best use of this forum is lurking.
Jim, and his other 2 stooges follow me around from thread to thread saying that my athletic achievements are BS. They say that my avatar is fake, my martial arts background is fake, etc. I proposed that we all meet up and we can see just how fake I am. I mean, If I am a lying old man, then they have nothing to worry about, right. Prior to this offer, I tried several times to hold out the olive branch, was rejected, so I returned to my original offer (which is basically the Gracie Challenge, I taught for Renzo). I was then banned, All the while, Jm is free to rove the boards insulting newcomers and everyone else w/ impunity. The worst part is that Jim is semi literate, how in the hell did he get into med school w/ out being able to construct a grammatically correct paragraph or sentence? It is very disconcerting knowing that the mentally challenged are allowed to practice medicine. On top of the illiteracy factor, if you look in the dictionary for a definition of circumlocution, you will see Jim's picture
Why Millard allows Jim to constantly insult me, I do not know or understand. After the Gracie Challenge incident, I would think that a smart moderator would, after banning me, tell the 3 stooges to stop fucking with me. Right now, there is not one single competitive body builder on the forum besides my self. We had one, who would of done well, but he quit at the 3 week out mark. He was miserable I wanted to tell him that he was exactly where he should be at the 3 week mark, and talked him into not throwing in the towel. Sadly, I was banned and not able to contact him.
So, back to the idea of increasing a woman's' interest level and to all the haters (that would be you, deadballs. Your numbers is probably 2, if that) lets try and stay on point.
The pick up community is primarily about getting women into bed. At the age of 40, that was no longer the primary goal. Of course, yes I wanted sex, but more importantly, I wanted a family. I used a lot of PU techniques, but what about someone who wanted more than just a roll in the hay?
At that point, things change a bit.
This^ is where we start running into problems. Women and men have very, very different approaches to communication and keeping score in a relationship (and guys, they always do, don't forget that fact). Please allow me to illustrate.
Women use a 1 point system. For example, my wife, and every other wife (assuming she is still values the relationship) wants to talk about her day when she comes home. Guys, it is absolutely critical to sit down and listen for 5 minutes.. Don't interrupt and/or go into problem solving mode. Your wife already knows what she is going to do, her sharing is just her thinking out loud, she does not want advice, she just wants to share w/ you. Just listen, and she will love you for ii.
Guys communicate differently. I put a ridiculous $7K stereo in my M3, but it killed my alternator. I then ask a friend "hey, where can I get a custom heavy duty alternator?" That is how men communicate. However, as mentioned, if you cut your wife off and go into problem solving mode, you will lower her interest level.
Women also keep score in a relationship differently than men. And guys, this never ends, trust me. For example a guy will go out and buy his wife a $70K vehicle. Typical guy (and I have been guilty of doing this, bought my wife a Porsche, a Mercedes, a $9k diamond ring). I did all this thinking : just bought
her a car, I should be good for 6 months. WRONG the car and the ring=one point each. Listen to her talk about her day, 1 point, take out the garbage, 1 point. The bottom line is that in a solid marriage, men need to understand how women keep score, and you have to constantly rack up points to keep her in love w/ you.
