I was in my grocery store doing some shopping and I noticed my store carries a new line of Frozen TV Dinners called "Lifechoice." The nutrition on them is great, especiallly for those who watch their carbs.

Three Meat Alfredo Dinner

Protein: 44g
Carbs: 10g (2g Fiber, 7g Sugars)
Fat: 31g (A little high but it is Alfredo with bacon and ham in it)
Cal: 500

So we have an almost 50g of protein TV Dinner that really does taste great. Check it out next time you shop. Great for us lifters who dont have time to cook every meal.

Mark, do they have anything else that is lower in fat? A low carb, low fat, moderate/high protein tv dinner would rule the earth!

Yes they do Bob, I just got this one because it sounded good. They had one with 8 grams of fat, 11g of carbs and 40 something grams of protein. It was a dijon mustard grilled chicken dish. My grocery has an entire Low-Carb section in the Frozen TV Dinner aisle. It does indeed rule the earth!

P.S. Now that Subway and Schlotski's (sp?) have low-carb alternatives, I dont know if I will go back to eating the same for a while.

I wish I read this thread prior to food shopping today. I would have looked for some of those. How did it taste and thanks for the heads up?

The Atkins Ranch thing at Subway is pretty tasty, though its about the size of a 6 inch sub. Not exactly a filling meal, but at least the option is there if Im out running errands.

Thanks for the heads-up, Mark.

Karch, yeah they are $3 here, so kind of expensive. Yeah, the Subway wraps can be small, but I tell them to double all of the insides (you pay $1 extra). After all, most of the carbs are in the flour torilla wrap-part anyways. The Schlotsky wraps are pretty big though and they give me a lot of chicken. I had their Caesar Wrap yesterday (7g of carbs). Low-Carb alternatives are making things easier.

P.S. Peace, they taste great. Also, are you giving anything up for Lent? Are you going to go see the Mel Gibson movie "The Passion of Christ?" Supposedly, many Christians come out crying when they see how brutal Christ was treated (and I am sure the movie doesnt even come to close to what really happened. I mean, supposedly after 10-15 lashes from a Roman Cat-o-Nine-Tails Whip (nine pieces of leather at the end of a whip with bone or metal shards on their tips) you have no skin left on your back. Jesus got 39 of those! Crazy stuff.

Mark, Im not Catholic so I dont give up anything for Lent. Or maybe its not just a Catholic thing. I dunno.

Jewel and I are going to check out the movie sometime in the next week or so. Not sure which day. A lot of the theatres are already sold out for days at a time. My church bought up two full screenings (about 400 seats each time) and sold out in a week. They added a 3rd showing and sold out in one day. Looks to be an accurate movie and I look forward to seeing it. I think it will be great for really bringing to life the most important parts of the Bible.

Mark, for Lent I'm not really giving up anything, I just try to be a more compassionate and caring person than I was the year before. And this past year was tough so I have a lot of room for improvement. Yourself?

Yeah I'm looking forward to see The Passion. Probably will go a few weeks after its been out. Bringing a box of Kleenex too. I know I'll need it.

As far as how gruesome this movie is, I agree that it is probably not even close to what really happened. And I'm tired of hearing everyone ask and write in the mags and papers about who killed Jesus. I'll fill everyone in on a little secret. WE ALL killed Jesus by sinning. Nuff said.
