Hair Loss

Because if you don't stop it from falling out 5 years after your transplant when the hair back further on your head falls out you'll look retarded. They put you on these drugs after a transplant so if you have to take them either way might as well try them before the surgery
hmm i see... couldnt you just repeat the surgery?

Why waste so. Much money on those meds? Just visit turkey do a hair transplant and boom you have full dense hair for the rest of your life for just 1200 dollar
Even after a hair transplant, you need to use these compounds to maintain the hair you have, or you'll just go bald a bit later.

Hello everyone
Last year I noticed my hair thinning and some shinny spots on top and figured I was loosing it with age and started using Minoxidil. After 4-5 months I noticed big dark circles under my eyes and that I was looking old. I spoke to my Dr and was told that in rare case's that minoxidil can cause premature skin aging and have seen cases on the internet. After discontinuing I started collegen, biotin, iron and selenium and things are back to about 75% normal after stopping 5 months ago.
Just something for you using minoxidil to look out for.
This post is over a year old, but I'm replying anyway. I was using minoxidil for 11 months. Didn't really notice my skin changing until people started asking me why I had a gray tone to my face. Then I started noticing just how bad my skin got. Dark circles from hell, looking like a zombie. My skin darkened and got dull, no longer has that "glow" to it. I stopped the minox, started taking collagen peptides, biotin, vitamin C serum on my face along with retinol....very slight improvement to the dark circles, but I'm sure it's going to take quite a long time to reverse the damage that it did to my skin.

Yea it sucks...some people get side effects and some don't. I never had any heart palpatations or anything like that, but it darkened my skin and made it have a grayish tone to it. And the dark circles made me look like a damn zombie.

If you haven't noticed any side effects with prolonged usage (months) then you probably won't. I never even realized how shitty my skin had gotten until several people mentioned it. My barber, who I hadn't seen for a few months, pointed out I was a bit "gray". Whereas I'm usually pretty pale. And then a few other people had mentioned my skin being dark or some odd tone to it. That's when I went back and looked at previous pictures and noticed that my skin definitely degraded. Could be due to collagen depletion, so I've been taking collagen peptides to see if it'll help. Also trying any sort of face serums or creams that are supposed to lighten / brighten uneven skin tones. By looking at some old pictures, I could see that by my third month, my skin had already started to darken. Didn't realize it at the time, of course...I see my face every day lol

Maybe you just got old.

Quality suggestions... looking to to not loose my thick luscious locks as well
DHT inhibitor= Finasteride or Dutasteride
Topical androgen inhibitor= RU58841

Those 2 are a perfect combo. But if you are running a 19 nor you can’t use the DHT inhibitor.

my endocrinologist prescribed me progesterone to take in the evening to protect me from hair loss, since I am under trt and being predisposed to baldness.
I also plan to do a hair transplant in Turkey in the future.

What do you think about progesterone for hair loss has anyone tried? if so what are the results for you?
