HGH - At What Dose Did You Get Sides?

Do you get any sides from HGH? How long before they came on and what dose were you running?

Reading around it seems like some common sides are water retention, swelling of hands/feet, carpal tunnel, pins & needles feeling on limbs while asleep.

Over the course of 8 days I ramped up from a total of 2 IU/day to 6 which is my target/max planned. Currently 2 in the morning and 4 before bed. Haven't seen any of the above sides yet but I know it's early on still.

Sides vary person to person at different doses.

Your ramp up was quicker than the general consensus recommended titrate.

Nobody can tell you when or if you’ll experience sides.

You have currently fucked around, only thing left is to find out, then you’ll have your answer.

i am currently taking 16 - 24 iu a day (i would say averages out to 18iu)
at this dosage you have to take measure to negate side effects.
- cardio, atleast 150 min a week of steady stage
- keep diet in check, dont eat crap
- use something to keep blood sugar in check (i use 3mg tirzepatide eod and 1g metformin daily)
- think about adding a low dose of a loop diuretic
- use a beta blocker (i would strongly advise nebivolol) if Heart rate goes too high
- 50-75µ t4

Could you direct me to a good loop diuretic I've been taking dandelion root At 5 g wvery other day

I get subQ water retention at 2iu daily. Highest I've gone is 4iu and retention gets worse with higher dose. Nothing terrible, but I don't look as good. I like a dry look. Benefits are worth it though.

I take it directly before bed. If I take it 45 mins or longer before bed I have trouble falling asleep.
If I take it directly before bed no problem. Wild dreams most nights on GH.

Extremely valuable post…..

Given that you ramped from 2-6 in 8 days, I wouldn’t be surprised if you start getting hit with numb hands, CTS, edema within 3-4 weeks… however, there are some freaks who can hop on high dosages and not get hit with those sides.

Personally, that’s what happens to me. At 8iu; i start getting numb hands and CTS pretty bad after a few weeks. At 6iu have a lot of water retention/edema but no CTS. Your body does acclimate over time eventually allowing you to push more.

Currently, I’m back down to 6iu of 99% pure generics. 2iu 3x per day. Once the CTS settles back down, I’ll push back up to 8 and then onward.

Blood sugar wise, I start noticing at 4iu. 6-8 requires a fair amount of Lantus to keep my fasted glucose under 90.

At 8 iu of Serostim I was quite sleepy. Other than that no sides to speak of. Always use Metformin so blood glucose is never an issue.

I simply can't go over 3.5iu it seems to be the max my body can take before it gets all the sides such as CTS, blood glucose problems, edema, very high RHR etc. I stick to 2.5-3iu which i find plenty (pfizer genotropin).

it's insane to me reading how people are taking 6-8 ius so easily. i wish i could.

Yes to all of this. I do about an hour of cardio daily. Helps keep BP and blood glucose in check too. And drink a lot of water.

I'm on one vial a day, so 10-12 IU (split evenly morning and evening) + TRT 125.

This is excellent info, thanks!

Hopefully at 6 IU/day I won't see any unmanageable side effects. But I'll reduce or drop entirely if necessary though. Definitely understand that I ramped up really quick.

So far diet is clean and calories tracked, no alcohol or junk. I'll need to increase calories by a lot soon though. I cut 30lbs prior to this through diet w/ sema & later reta doing the heavy lifting. Cardio is a mix of HIIT and light stuff like long walks. I got a constant glucose monitor just for shits and giggles, so blood glucose levels are looking good and I'll know quickly otherwise.

Side effects I already had prior to HGH: Water & glycogen(?) retention increased a good amount. Blood pressure and resting BPM have both increased and need addressing, but that's caused by the test cycle and came on before starting HGH.

I started HGH because I had just ran CJC-1259 w/ no DAC + Ipamorelin for a month, 0.375mg twice a day of each. Blood work came back at the end of the month and my IGF-1 went down. 134 ng/mL before the peptides to 111 after. Soon as I saw the results I dropped those and started HGH.

i would not advise htcz like most do but instead, i would either do eplerenone or torasemide. Your potassium level should dictate which one. Eplerenone is potassium sparing, torasemide is not. If you are already on an ARB like telmisartan or candesartan, Torasemide could be the better solution.
most important thing.. START LOW!

at 6iu you should be okay if you just the the stuff youve mentione (i would even say you do quite well there).
Which continuose glucose monitor do you use? I thought myself about buying either libre or g7.
If your side effects are are what youve mentioned and you can not negate them by doing what you are already doing then you could think about adding 2,5mg-5mg nebivolol and 5mg torasemide for example.

about IGF: do no rely on IGF only since this depends on so many factors (carbohydrates, kcal intake, other drugs etc etc)

I learned the hard way ramping up too fast in the beginning. It took months to get to one vial a day without CTS in my hands (10-12 IU split evenly AM & PM).

Still have some mild CTS but it's very manageable.
You're on 10-12iU of growth while on just TRT dose of test? Is that a common thing to run it like that with such a low roid dose? I'm new to the hgh conversation. Forgive my shit.

Thanks! Still early on but looking forward to seeing how it goes. I'll start a separate cycle log thread eventually.

I ordered various accessory meds weeks back including a beta blocker and diuretic. Online India generics but not from a vetted forum source which now I know better. Tracking shows it's been waiting at their airport for a couple weeks now.

CGM is the Dexcom G7. I'm liking it - doesn't get in they way and I'm a data geek so it's cool to see how food impacts it. I went with Signos to get them. Not diabetic so I can't just go ask a doctor.

Do you use the G7 on your back upper arm or abdomen?
If on upper Arm, any issues training delts/triceps?
any "surprises" you saw while wearing it? (some foods that spiked BS immensely where you havent thought they would or something like that)

I have went from starting dose of 4iu to now 12iu a day in 11 weeks. I don't have any horrible side effects. My fasting bg is good I check it every morning. I'm sure I am holding a little water but not so much to wear it calls for a diuretic. I'm on a lot of shit though so I actually expect so side effects but they have never came. I am getting lab work I. A week at week 12 and we shall see then. I had labs done at week 6 when I was on 5iu a day and my igf-1 was 300 but I was in a major caloric deficet.
