Detailed monitoring of the use of substances by the body and its effectiveness.
One of the current trends in the field of clinical biochemistry is drug monitoring. Medication, a tool widely used for the prevention, treatment and diagnosis of diseases, is now becoming a subject of more in-depth study. Drug monitoring, or the monitoring of drug content throughout the course of treatment, is essential for the individual. The goals of drug monitoring are:
1) to determine the correct medication regimen and dosage for each individual;
2) Determining the most effective concentration of medication to achieve a successful treatment or goal;
3) preventing the development of toxic effects;
4) monitoring the changes that occur during each period of treatment, with the ability to change the dosage of medication depending on the individual's condition;
5) studying the interdependencies of various factors in the prescribed therapy.
Each person has an individual reaction to the substances prescribed by a specialist or even a doctor. It depends on factors such as age, gender, liver and kidney function, the simultaneous use of other drugs. These factors should be taken into account by the specialist in the selection of the dose of the substance. In most cases, come to the optimal dose of the drug, starting with a standard dose and adjusting it depending on the observed response to therapy. However, selecting the optimal dose of a drug is not possible if it is difficult to assess the effect of the drug. It is even more difficult to select a dose when the drug has a narrow therapeutic range, i.e., the dose needed to achieve a therapeutic effect is close to that at which a toxic effect is observed. In such cases, determining the plasma concentration of the drug is important clinically because the correlation between the severity of the drug effect and its plasma concentration is stronger than the correlation between the dose taken by the patient and the effect. However, the correlation between a drug's plasma concentration and its effects in the tissues may be weak or absent if the drug itself is not active but is metabolized to its active form in the body being used, or if its effects are irreversible. Factors affecting the relationship between the drug taken and the severity of its effect are shown in the following table.
Determination of plasma drug concentrations can be used not only for individual selection of drug therapy, but also to detect toxicity of the drug and to assess compliance with specialist's prescriptions. Before drug monitoring can begin, it is necessary to determine which medications need to be monitored and to establish the clinical indications for drug monitoring. The criteria for medications to be monitored are as follows: - Drugs that are dangerous to the patient because of their toxicity;
- Drugs that have steep, rising blood concentrations;
- Drugs that have a narrow range of therapeutic concentrations;
- drugs used for long-term therapy;
- drugs used for a life-threatening illness;
- drugs with significant variability in pharmacokinetics (large range of half-life);
- drugs with non-linear pharmacokinetics;
- drugs with a wide distribution throughout the body.
Clinical indications for monitoring are as follows:
- When an overdose of the drug being used is possible;
- When there is no expected effect of the administered dose of the drug;
- when it is necessary to determine the therapeutic dose of a drug and there is no easier way to evaluate its effectiveness;
- when the symptoms of the disease are similar to the symptoms of the drug's toxic effects;
- when the opposite clinical effect of the drug is observed.
When evaluating the results of determining the drug's serum concentration, their data are compared with standard values. The term "normal values" is not used for these values, since a healthy person does not take the medication. Instead, clinical medicine uses the term "therapeutic" or "target" values - the range between the minimum effective drug concentration and the maximum safe concentration. In most cases, only the upper limit of the range is set. Nevertheless, in some people the drug may be effective at concentrations below the generally accepted minimum effective concentration, and in other patients it is sometimes necessary to maintain drug concentrations at levels above the upper limit of the therapeutic range to achieve optimal results. These concentration ranges are not absolute, but their use in clinical practice has been shown to significantly improve treatment outcomes and minimize complications.

Yes i am running test/mast 250/200 and cycle with anadrol every other week for 12 weeks with 2 IU gh. It's a recomp/Sommer cycle. Nothing heavy.
I am getting old. I just want to stay lean do feel good cycles.

So i just injectet the first time i was so afraid hurting myself thast i need 8 !! Alcohol pads than i slowy put in my leg IT DIDNT HURT @ ALL.... Now i feel dumb. But the first time i hade Thunder pain so i put it out and inject again. I used a 0.45x25 mm but i think i didnt get all of the stuff inside and i couldn Pull back on the plunger to check if i hit a blood it was to hard to ddo... NO joke i just couldn get it back.
When i injectet i think it was about 12 sec or some was that to fast? I feeled like puke.....
I lay down and put my feet up then it got better. And I have ringing in my ears. Got better too. Is this good for the first time or Bad?
