As my username states, "roidy-NOOB" for newby, I would like to ask a very obvious question nevertheless serious.

I know the basics to the type of endocrinology we discuss here but I wanted ask if anybody around here, wether it is through experience or actual medical studies, knew about the side effects of "safe" long term steroid cycling on natural testosterone production. When I say "safe cycling" I mean from 1 to 3 or even 4 cycles a year (depending on length)(no blasting&cruising) with proper PCTing and taking the time off between the cycles (the minimum being, taking as many weeks off as the previous cycle lasted including pct).

So basically how is our natural testosterone going to be affected in the future while cycling on and off throughout the year?
Not interested on the visceral system (cuz we all know about it) but im more interested on adrenal glands, receptors, estrogen to test ratio, thyroid glands, the hypothalamic-pituitary etc....)

I know age is a factor here, it wont be the same for someone who's been cycling for 5 years and he is now 30, than for a man who´s been cycling for 15 years and he is now in his mid 40´s (this guy will surely need TRT though).

Any help from the older more experience people would be great and not so experienced too or even medical sturdies (can´t seem to find any, probably cuz it would be something unethical to do)

Thanks everybody and sorry for the long post.

Much love

I often wondered the same thing and searched for any kind of scientific evidence. As you have discovered it doesnt exist. I have to say in response to your question though I cant see there being a very safe way to cycle to cycle 3-4 times a year and take proper time off like your saying. The math just doesn't add up. Average cycle being:
12 weeks(3months)+
4 weeks pct(1 month)=4months

So by the guidelines of (time on+pct=time off) your looking at an 8 month turn around each time, if its a 12 weeks cycle. So by the safe guidelines youve outlined that leaves you with 1.5 cycles per year.

I would imagine that a guy could cycle safley long term like that...but not very many do. Most guys it seems are doing 3 cycle a year, and most guys who have done this for even a little while are on TRT.

I did my first cycle in 1975 I always did one cycle in the winter, a handful of years I did 2 cycles a year. so I started at 24 and I went on TRT at 59.
Now thats what is considered cycling safely. It gave longevity.
@ironwill1951 did you montitor your T levels throughout. I would be curious what kind of levels you were able to maintain as time went on.

6 weeks cycles are common as well, with short esters most of the time. so you could fit 3 in a year.
But i see what you're saying.

Wow really? You went on TRT really late compared to others. So in your 30´s, when you were off cycle (natural), did you feel any drastic low test effects? anything out of the ordinary i mean.
thanks

Ya for sure. With shorter esters you could. Thats why i just gave 12 as an example since its in the average range.
