INTRODUCTION: Scientific research on the effects of marijuana on sexual functioning in women, including libido, arousal, orgasm, and satisfaction, is limited.

AIM: To evaluate women's perceptions of the effect of marijuana use before sexual activity.

METHODS: A cross-sectional design, from March 2016-February 2017, within a single, academic, obstetrics and gynecology practice, was performed. Patients were given a questionnaire at their visit and asked to complete it anonymously and place it in a locked box after their visit.

MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The primary outcome was satisfaction in the sexual domains of drive, orgasm, lubrication, dyspareunia, and overall sexual experience. The secondary outcome was the effect of the frequency of marijuana use on satisfaction.

RESULTS: Of the 373 participants, 34.0% (n = 127) reported having used marijuana before sexual activity. Most women reported increases in sex drive, improvement in orgasm, decrease in pain, but no change in lubrication.

After adjusting for race, women who reported marijuana use before sexual activity had 2.13 higher odds of reporting satisfactory orgasms (adjusted odds ratio = 2.13; 95% CI = 1.05, 4.35) than women who reported no marijuana use. After adjusting for race and age, women with frequent marijuana use, regardless of use before sex or not, had 2.10 times higher odds of reporting satisfactory orgasms than those with infrequent marijuana use (adjusted odds ratio = 2.10; 95% CI = 1.01-4.44).

CONCLUSION: Marijuana appears to improve satisfaction with orgasm. A better understanding of the role of the endocannabinoid system in women is important, because there is a paucity of literature, and it could help lead to development of treatments for female sexual dysfunction.

Fact: my orgasms are out of control when I’m high...no comparison high vs sober orgasms.

Is this just another version of reefer madness or what? I've never heard of this and to me it sounds like fear mongering? @Michael Scally MD thoughts on or experiences with this? Thank you.

A mysterious syndrome that makes marijuana users violently ill is starting to worry doctors

Seems to be real. My wife had a patient with this and that was the first I'd heard of it. The fix seems pretty simple to me. Stop smoking so much/often. If that doesn't work then just stop.

I've heard of this before... I have wondered if it's connected to something called cyclic vomiting syndrome.

My sister had this and she used MJ to ease her nausea. However, it seemed to create a negative pattern where she needed to use MJ more and more often to ease the symptoms. After a while, it seemed like she needed to use constantly, which isn't really possible, or she would feel nausea.

She ended up going to hospital and they found the THC in her system and blamed the MJ use right away. She stopped using when she was in hospital and continued when she got out and everything improved. She still uses recreationally from time to time I think, but she went several months without it since she was a little gun-shy.

All very anecdotal though... The two may not have ever been related. She's always had a very sensitive stomach.

INTRODUCTION: - With cannabis consumption on the rise, and use prominent among males of reproductive age, it is essential to understand the potential impact of cannabis on male fertility. Here we review the literature regarding cannabis' effects on male fertility.

MATERIALS AND METHODS: - A literature search was conducted using PubMed/MEDLINE to identify relevant studies examining the effects of cannabis on male fertility. Relevant studies were identified and reviewed.

RESULTS: - The strongest evidence for cannabis-induced alterations in male fertility is in the category of semen parameters. Research supports a role for cannabis in reducing sperm count and concentration, inducing abnormalities in sperm morphology, reducing sperm motility and viability, and inhibiting capacitation and fertilizing capacity. Animal models demonstrate a role for cannabis in testicular atrophy and reduced libido and sexual function, but these results have not yet been replicated in human studies. Studies examining hormonal changes suggest inconclusive effects on testosterone levels, lowered luteinizing hormone (LH) levels, and unchanged follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) levels.

CONCLUSIONS: - Current research suggests that cannabis may negatively impact male fertility. Further studies are needed to validate that robust findings in animal models will carry over into human experience. Clinicians should be aware of these potential effects in prescribing medical marijuana therapies to men of reproductive age, and should consider degree of cannabis use as a possible component of a complete male infertility workup.

New gadget I got, desktop flower vaporizer. You load maybe 0.1g in the top of the tube I'm holding in the first pic, connect that tubing to the metal log and pull from it. That's a water pipe attachment that's kind of a gimmick, I just use a regular stem now.

It's 100% vapor, I noticed my cardio go way up. My skin cleared up too. Also it's at least twice as efficient. My usual half oz lasted me more than twice as long as usual. The thing minus the waterpipe is like $180. I'd definitely recommend it if you get paranoid about your lung health like me, the efficiency is cool but weed is pretty cheap anyways.

I like the carts like OGH posted but my state's med scene isn't nearly as good. I smoked $20-$35 carts and they always seemed dirty as fuck, they do have nicer ones though. I actually had to get off the carts because they were giving me a progressively worse cough.
