Patrick Arnold comments on the heavy metals problem (or lack of problem)? here:
http://www.prohormoneforum.com/index.php/topic/81953-heavy-metals-in-raw-powders/

Who is Patrick Arnold? I'd be more focused on previous reports (tests) of heavy metal contamination in steroids way higher than the USP or EP (6 ppm for example). 90% of the steroid raw materials manufactured in China are made in chemical factories and not pharmaceutical factories and 100% of the ones ending on the black market are made in chemical factories that have no pharmaceutical standards in place neither are they interested to have (because they'd need to implement much stricter quality controls, SDFA GMP manufacturing license, validation procedures etc).

Heavy metals are an extremely important quality issue with most Chinese made raw materials mostly because Chinese manufacturers use low quality solvents, reagents and undistilled water. Hubei area is known to have high heavy metal contamination levels in the soil and water and many raw materials are sourced mainly from there.

Patrick Arnold is a very intelligent and knowledgeable chemist who knows his shit when it comes to AAS. I hold him in very high regard.

Btw, I am not saying you are wrong. I do not know about the matter here. You may well be right.

I don't know who Patrick Arnold is but I do know about the Chinese raw material market quality issues. Heavy metals are a rarely discussed matter and extremely rarely analyzed target but with a serious potential hazard for users health.

Can you supply us with evidence regarding the Chinese raw material suppliers? Right now it's a plausible statement, but without evidence.

Adding to which, how often do we see heavy metal poisoning being an issue in UG-AAS users?

What do the tests show?
What metals and the density of them?

I always wondered about this

There are more ways to determine heavy metal most recent being ESI-MS. Also there are reference standards. Density is not a concern but rather the amount in ppm. For parenteral drugs the control of heavy metals is stringent. Atomic Absorbtion is another testing way.

Here are two regarding heavy metal pollution in China's waters (check the graphs as well):

The situation is critical expecially in Hubei and Shangdong from where a large part of the raw materials are coming from.

If you read the Patrick Arnold thread, he asks for evidence again and again.

He is, however, not provided any.

The link (you mention 2, but post 1?) is relevant, but does not constitute direct evidence. One cannot on that basis conclude that raws from China/Hubei are loaded with heavy metals and to an extent that calls for health concerns. I find your explanation very plausible...you may be right. But evidence is needed.

I am from New Jersey.
Do you think I really care about heavy metal poisoning?

I don't think I could function without contaminated water in my body.
VOSS is like Kryptonite to me..

When I first moved Upstate NY, I got sick from all the fresh air

Upstate makes me sick too.

Well I'd like to see some of those tests however and the way it was analyzed. I suppose you realize that there is no way to do a proper quantitative analysis without reference standards and I'm all eyes and ears to find out which RS were used. Anything else is just hype, false claims or misleading information.
