Meso Powerlifting Corner

Definitely no full squat cage. That squat rack you seem use is the ONLY thing we have for squats. Dumb as fuck.

Doesn't the reverse band lighten the load and wouldn't the chains add weight?

The bands lighten the load at the bottom, but closer to the top of the lift they wouldn't add much. Similar to how chains add more the more of them come off the ground.

So today I finished the 6 week sheiko run. Which leaves me 11 weeks until competition. So with advice Ive gotten in here ill run the 6 weeks again, then the 4 week comp going into the competition.
I figured id take this next week as a deload week, especially since Ive been having these nagging injuries towards benching.

So, how do you do a deload week?
Everytime I say Im going to I end up just lifting like regular.

When I deload I always just do 2x10 with 50% of my max for the main lifts, and cut out all accessory work.

On another note, all the drama threads that we have here from time to time never fail to crack me up. I usually never get past page 1 but it's still pretty funny to me seeing how worked up people get over internet trolling lol

I do the same sets and reps as normal and use 50-70% weight as normal. Accessories technically don't need to be deloaded, but I'll go slightly lighter on those anyway.

Dont worry about shilling here. We all let it be known what gear we're using. The good and the bad. Looks like I need to get a slingshot, I might be the last one in here without one.

The slingshot is a blast. I still want that SBD belt and I've been eyeing the STrong belt for a while too. It'll be the best of all worlds. Inzer lever belt 10mm. SBD 13mm lever. Strong 10mm with prong

Some new stuff for the gym. I feel like I could do 1000 push ups. I needed a belt badly, love the quality. Not shilling at all...

If you ain't shilling gear that means you don't like it enough. Hell SBD should be paying me royalties with how hard I push their stuff.

Definitely get the full boar big man, the tapered arms are a thing of beauty to get it up high into the old pythons and the OG slingshot and reactive arnt gonna be as helpful for how strong your bench is. The Maddog is the next step up but unless you are pushing 450 raw it's overkill

I actually recommended him the light one for Sheiko because his gym doesn't allow chains and the chains aren't supposed to be very heavy. Seemed like the best substitution as the Full Boar adds 50+ pounds.

Rob I think we have a problem. I've just bought a 2spoon night rider belt for my oly lifting, I've put in for purchase for the SBD belt, and I have the inzer 10m prong. Also I have the OG slingshot knee sleeves on order so that'll be my 6th purchase of knee sleeves (3 of which being SBD and me growing out then one pair of hook grip knee sleeves one pair of rehband knee sleeves) I've got doubles of every piece of equipment except a slingshot but I'm thinking about getting a new one now that my arms are 17" and I can't really slide mine up anymore to the point I want it

I as thinking of getting easy on easy off sleeves too. SBDs are pain sometimes

Ya man I started hitting calves eod and before that it wasn't too bad only about 1 min per sleeve but now a 5min struggle per sleeve is too much. Right now I'm going no sleeves or using my hookgrip ones which are basically nothing and I'm still comfortably repping 405 so easy on easy off will work for me unless I'm going for mazes and need that extra little support and pop outa the hole. First time I put 405 on the bar no sleeves was kinda scary as I've used sleeves for 3 years so figured my knees would explode but apparently that's not how it works

I don't have one and I have no plans to get one, if it makes you feel any better lol

Ive stopped using almost all my gear except belt for the last 8 weeks. Mostly because I hated having to take everything off and out it back on. My lifts are still going up, so my plan is to add the gear back in the last 3 - 4 weeks before the meet. Hopefully thatll add some lbs to my maxes too.

Little Help Needed Fellas

2 weeks ago I decided to do a deload week before I got heavy in to the lasrlt 10 weeks of training for my meet.

I only did 2 days at about 70%. Then I got sick and Ive been on bedrest for 10 out of the last 12 days. Ive barely been able to eat but Im finally getting better.

Later this week I plan on getting back in to it. But I dont think I can start sheiko again with my size and strength loses. My maxes arent my maxes anymore.

Any ideas how to go about training to get back into it and get ready for a meet mid September?
