That's how power lifters should lookGotta love that back/pull day pump, just a while longer before strength becomes the main emphasis againView attachment 46429
That's how power lifters should look
I think its a sham to be too far too either sideI agree with both of ya. I definitely have always had a hybrid style of training, and it's developed my build for sure. I love powerlifting and it's always been my natural inclination, but I've always thrown in a lot of bodybuilding work in there for aesthetics and the fact that it's always helped me be a BETTER lifter. I've gone thru phases of incorporating what I would call "wannabe" oly lifts as well. Lots of HEAVY clean and press, frontsquats. I honestly just enjoy moving weight. If the majority of my style of training dictates me as a power lifter, so be it. I have yet to compete officially and lost the desire to do so. It's just a love of the iron that keeps me hooked. And I'm cool with that. Not sure where Im going with this, but guess it never hurts to explain where we are coming from. End rant.
Thats kinda what I'm trying to go for. I love being strong, but I'm tired of being a lard ass lol.I think its a sham to be too far too either side
Be a big swole BB with little strength
Or
Be a thick strong PL/Strongman with no definition and no aesthetics
Best to be some where in the middle
Nice work
Well you have safe haven hereThats kinda what I'm trying to go for. I love being strong, but I'm tired of being a lard ass lol.
Lol thanks!Well you have safe haven here
A place where no ecto dares venture
A place for the big and tall and horribly ugly
Cuz big weights and 3xl shirts ain't going out of style any time soon
After all you are the evilest ninja
I really should do some cardio, I just cannot stand it though!
Woah woah who said anything about cardio? lolI'm going for a look somewhere in the middle, too. Train entirely for strength and yet eat more like a bodybuilder and do cardio regularly.
Woah woah who said anything about cardio? lol
