Meso Powerlifting Corner

I've just got the one belt, a pair of Chuck Taylor's for squats, deadlift slippers, Titan Max RPM wrist wraps, Slingshot knee wraps, full set of microplates, chalk, cheap straps that I never use, just bought some ammonia caps last week, that's pretty much it. I'd like to get another belt for deadlifts that's not as wide.

Oh figured I'd drop this here as I did state I'm a gear guy in my first post here.
This is everything I have in my large duffle bag for the gym:

I have some more gear like my extra 8 other bands some yoga mats and stretching bands and ab rollers and that stuff but this I my erryday gear I have with me.

On a side not I get an anxiety attack whenever my girl moves my bag as this is basically my whole world right here.

Because you can't tell what the shoes are from left to right: Nike free run 5.0, reebok cross fit nano 4.0, converse chuck Taylor's, sabo deadlift shoe, Nike romealos 2.0 and beside my SBD elbow sleeves those are deadlift slippers. Any questions on any of the gear and I'd be happy to fill them.

Best items in my personal opinion to have would be the Nike romealos 2 the SBD knee sleeves and fullboar slingshot.
haha your bag looks like mine! I'll have to post mine up after work!

I never thought to use them for that! An inversion table is outside my budget at the moment but those grey bands will do the trick. I tweaked an old back injury Monday and am trying to rehab it. Thanks for the idea!

The grey band is only like $30 or so and work even better IMO bc you can move your legs around and get a stretch on your hips, pelvis, glutes, etc all the while you're inverting.

Good Lord. Im jealous DL bear. I dont have hardly anything. Looks like I need to get started.

I LOVE my sabo's!!! Oddly, I've only competed raw. Just hard to find meets in my area. I train for equipped lifting though. Squat suit adds a whole new dynamic to lifting. Also, it's tough getting into without a lifting partner willing to give you a wedgie for 20+minutes. That, and the bruises the suit and shirt leave are something else... I want to get into some equipped meets soon though.

Finally got some chucks. With that and my wrist wraps I got a little bit to put in my lil bag.

Do y'all just wear em for deads or DL & squat?

My man getting started on the gear hording! If you don't have oly shoes I'd use them for squats too but ya for deadlifts and squats and for bench it's whatever you like. Glad you got to go out and treat yourself bud

Im getting started slowly. Where Im at theres not many places to buy and I hate ordering stuff like this online because if its not right its a hassle to send back.

I told myself that after I enter my first meet Ill completely gear up. Like when I first started lifting I waited a month before buying gloves and wrist wraps, to make sure id stick with it.

Ya I hear ya sucks when your stuck in camp for packages. You could start buying the none size specific things in the future then when you get back home home then you can go for the things that require a bit more size specifics and potential trial and error, if you have any questions about ordering sizes id be happy to field them as I regularly do the sizing dance when ordering and have done many a reorder for things I.e having the original slingshot and not being able to put it over my arms so getting the full boar.

Sorry for the rambling I just love gear :D:p

@jaymaximus Just order lifting shoes in metric and you can (almost) never go wrong!

METRIC FTW!!! Ya Canada doing that right lol.

Inzer lever style belt is the best to get if you have it the same tightness for all lifts, my squat and deadlift are the same but my OHP and bench require it tighter so I went with the single prong inzer 4inch 10mm belt.

I wear my Chucks (actually Levi brand imitation Chucks that were a bit cheaper) for all lifts except 500+ deadlifts and then I use my deadlift slippers (less than $10 on lifting large).

I just have the one belt, a Texas single prong, 4 inch, 10mm. I'd like a different one for deadlift, but alas, I have a low paying job. Someday.
