No been looking at a few. Never felt like I needed one during deadlift and I don't squat heavy. The gyms got a bunch I can always use one of them. It'll help a little. You don't have a belt?

This is why I video my lifts pretty regularly, and from different angles. This way you can always see anything u want/need to change or improve.Trainer buddy of mine is going to help out on my next few deadlift sessions and help me. He's the one that pointed it out to me. Never had any lower back trouble so never knew I was doing anything off.
I need to do that. I guess you can only see so much in the mirrors. This is why I video my lifts pretty regularly, and from different angles. This way you can always see anything u want/need to change or improve.
I considered him and a bunch of others before I went with my current one. Thought about hiring Garrett Blevins pretty seriously, too.

Thanks for the advice, I'll video my next one Saturday and see how it goes.Take a video at least every other heavy session to keep form locked in, you should never use a mirror to check your form for powerlifting, hell turn your back to the mirror cause it's probably just fucking you up anyways. It's a movement best done by feel not by sight.
Ya man and if you need any help analyzing your form @jaymaximus is always there to help as long as you are in a speedo or less for clothing, anything more and he won't be able to truly see what he needs to help. Thanks for the advice, I'll video my next one Saturday and see how it goes.

Garret is a smart dude. Who did you end up going with?
I'm 6'1-6'2 not sure what you'd call average. How tall are you? If you're just average height get a 3" belt.
Don't look in the mirror while you deadlift, record yourself.
Strength First Boston. He goes by POB on some forums.

Do I need two different belts one for squats one for deads?
They got several at the gym I'll try both see what feels right before I get one myself.I use a 4" for squats and a 3" for deadlift. Not everyone does, but after reading up on it and trying both sizes I believe it makes a difference. You're tall though and it might not matter for you. For me a 4" belt interferes with my deadlift setup.
I keep rounding my lower back a little. Thinking about using a belt not sure if that'll help.
Do u engage your lats properly? I had the same issue until i watched a Pete Rubish video (coincidentally) and learned how to properly engage them. It stiffens your back amazingly well... simple ques, as well... flex your triceps and rotate your elbows inward, while grabbing the bar. It pushes ur chest up and engages your lats[/QUOTE
I'm not sure if I am but I'll try that Saturday morning. I've done very little at work today but watch youtube videos. Pretty sure I saw the same one your talking earlier. Brian Shaw had some similar tips on the one I was just watching. He was really emphasising shoulder placement too.

My get up and go preworkout intra workout and post shake. T- 1 week till meet, currently feeling weak but I know a Deload will help. I got bench and deadlifts for triples then Monday I go for my openers then Deload and cut all carbs and water weight as I'm sitting 9lb over weight. National qualifying total is the goal its happening!!!!
1260lb total, would have been easy breezy but my car accident has my squat seriously limited I wanted a 475 but now I'm happy with a 425 and for deadlift I'll be happy with 545. I won't hit any lifetime PRs but I should qualify then at nationals when I'm all healed I can hit PRs. It holds 68oz of rasberry goodness. I usually finish it just before my stretching so takes about 1.5hrs but I never have to refill at the gymA. how much is a qualifying total?
B. how many ounces does that mammoth mug hold
