As to Halo, my advice would be to wait until meet day IF youve run it. If you havent I would try it once or twice during training to see its effects on you. I could easily see there being issues between that, pwo, tne (if used), and adrenaline.

Just a guess, but Test, tren, and anavar could work for strength and not gaining significant weight. But thats from a vuu who is always trying to gain.
 
Yeah, for sure test the halo out during your peak a few times to see how it affects you, same with TNE.

I've seen on other boards that mast is highly underrated for powerlifting. Never tried it myself though, so I couldn't say.

I agree with the anavar. Keep the test dose conservative and the strength is all there with tren and weight gain would theoretically be light with diet in line of course. Tbol also may be a good choice but I don't know anyone that's used it personally.
 
High dose tren (1000mg / week) w/ as much test as you can run without causing too much weight gain and high dose anavar (100mg qd).

I know what the research says about the diminishing returns of oxandrolone after 40mg but I've met more than a few PL who liked running var that high.
 
I know what old school powerlifting cycles looked like as well as what some highly ranked powerlifters are running now but I'm interested to hear what people think a great cycle for a meet would be. Ideally adding the most strength while putting on the least amount of added bodyweight. Disregard potential or likely sides for this conversation.

I was able to cut over 10lbs in less than a week while on over a gram of test leading up to the meet.

My coach prefers going higher with deca than with tren for a meet.

Basically:
Test as high as you can handle
Deca as high as you can handle
Moderate to high tren dose
Drol
Halo for last few weeks before the meet or if you can't tolerate it for meet day
Don't think he's ever used cheque drops or anything like that FWIW

*an added benefit of halo will be to shed water weight you might have gained from test.

One potential issue to watch out for with var for powerlifting is that some people get bad pumps and cramps from it. Not something you want on the platform. I get very bad pumps from the var but bc I knew this in advance I tailored my warmups to keep it at bay

Doc do you see any reason why one couldn't replace the Deca with NPP?

I'd basically choose the same as Doc. I'd swap out Deca for NPP tho.

Tren starts killing my appetite after 4-6weeks so keeping that at a moderate level and ramp it up the last 2 weeks leading into the meet.

I would also add test suspension and Tren suspension day of meet. I've never tried halo but a while back I had some Tren suspension and it was absolutely killer. Probably do 150mg test Susp and 100mg Tren Susp before each lift.
 
Cardio? To keep some of the water weight down and keep your muscle nice and loose. I like the elliptical on a moderate level and I go nice and slow and give it a good stretch
