Meso Powerlifting Corner

I'm tired, fellas. Worked all week, set PRs on all three lifts this week, now I'm an hour into a two hour car ride to a family gathering. I'm starving, too. Smashed a shake after the gym, but it wasn't enough.

Right there with you bud had my deadlift session then got the call for some action so have to go work for... Probably all night but still on a high off of the PR so I think I'll make it through

I feel like a pussy after the last couple of pages. Worked on speed and form pulling today 4x4 with 325, 345, 365, 385 and then 3x5 no touch deads at 385.

Off season training drives me nuts trying to strike a balance of injury recovery, working on weaknesses and still getting enough heavy work to keep me from feeling like I haven't done anything.

Great thread guys. Just got done catching up on it. I am currently running The Cube Method from Brandon Lilly. Really enjoying it the past 6 weeks. It is a 4 day split with one of those days just a typical bodybuilding day to get some hypertrophy work in. It is kind of similar to Wendlers philosophy.

Basically you do a speed day, a rep day and heavy day. So week one you would speed work bench, rep work deads and do your heavy work with squats. The next week would be heavy bench, speed deads and squat reps.

I basically lost all interest in being a pump monkey after training for about 6 years. I needed a change so I decided I wanted to just get strong. Before The Cube method that I am doing now I ran through Wendlers beyond 5/3/1 for 20 weeks. Glad to get in on this discussion!

Welcome to the PL party

2 is a pain in the ass I find, these belts are built so well there's not really a reason to possible need two prong as your not going to bend or break the peong on the higher end belts anyway. But you keep being the awesome you that you are man!

I can see that. I always have trouble getting both prongs in when I want the belt really tight. I just always thought part of my training was trying to find the hole for 5 minutes (just like in the bedroom :( )

Glue some hair around the hole. Then you'll find it easier.
wait...smooth is in fashion now...nevermind...you're on your own.
