Meso Powerlifting Corner

Took an arrow to the knee and looking for a upper body only split as I won’t be doing much walking anytime soon let alone squatting. I will be getting a gyno sergury soon too so I’m hoping to slap on a shit ton of chest gains so that I don’t go back down to pitiful weights after recovery from that too. Knee sergury is very likely too it seems so I’m just fucked for that one and going to try my best to just remain flexible during all this so I can come back with strong ligaments.

I used to be an adventurer like you - then I took an arrow to the knee.

So you're a Skyrim fan too?

Hell yeah I am!! So appreciative of MP’s help! And it worked! I am quite pleased with myself and what I’ve been able to achieve with his help!! Thank you!!

Wendy busts her ass in the gym and has dedicated herself to constantly increasing her numbers which were already at international elite levels.

The credit is all hers. She has an awesome combination of strength, lifting talent and dedication to working hard and always improving.

I wish we could post videos and numbers here without revealing her identity. She absolutely killed it!!

Signing up for bench only for provincials this year even though I have a regional qualified total for powerlifting my bench doesn’t qualify for regionals.

Also I’m skipping leg from now until the foreseeable future due to that my knee has blown up. MCL/ACL/PCL are torn miniscus is torn, growth plates broken with severe bone marrow edema so I’ll be out from squats for a while or deadlift or anything that requires standing and lifting weights

:( that kills me RT. I'm sure you've read that I've had serious leg shit, if you ever need to talk with someone that can relate I'm always willing to listen.

Fuck man that sounds rough. What kind of time frame are you looking at for healing up?

As if I wasn’t already injured enough having to get surgery on my knee, while at the gym cranking out my daily 100 pull ups I decided to make the last 10 type writer pull ups to make it harder (can’t do weighted due to issues with weights dangling) then boom my lat and trap and shoulder just exploded in fire like pain. This is the after math 15mins later when I go to Home and took off my shirt 41742E0A-7936-4A40-96C3-F82CCF30DB9E.jpeg

Lots of petiting and it’s swollen (I ain’t that jack for it to stick out lol) so I just went from only being able to do chest and back to only chest workouts that don’t require scapula retraction cause that hurts to do. Ahhh the natty life is so great :(

Damn brother, I hate to see that. Hopefully you’re young enough to heal quickly from all your injuries. I think the power lifting forum is jinxed, pretty much all us that post over here have been inured in the last 2 years!

What's up fellas. Haven't really had time to post or check meso lately. Been tied up with work, training, girlfriend, and working on a new (to me) Jeep Cherokee I picked up recently.

I see some of you are dealing with injuries. Hate that. I've done okay the last year or so, staying injury free for the most part.

As far as training I've just been on the slow and steady grind, as usual. I've made some good progress, consistently benching into the 400's and deadlifting into the 600's in training. Haven't tested Max's and been taking it a little easier on squats.

To be fair my diet has been poor ( by people with our lifestyle's standards )

Not really sure what I weigh either. Haven't cared much. I know for comp I'm gonna just go into the 242 class , I'm too far in to cut under 220 anymore, so that gives me room to grow and hopefully the strength comes with it.

damn, nasty injury couple posts up.

i tore my right AC joint when i first got back into weight training last year. went 6 months with no shoulders or chest. i couldn't even reach over and get the seat belt on. some said work through it. for me i couldn't even get my tee shirts on and off without pulling a matrix move. now its doing better but still tender and i can only handle light weight on bench. dumbells are easier for me.

last august my PR deadlift was 225-245 this week i pulled 405. when i do deadlifts i do probably 20 sets starting with 135 X 10 then 155 X10 175 X 10, etc. once i get to 300 i do 6 and so on. i go to the gym every morning at 4am so i'm stiff as hell. i can't jump right into heavy weights nor do i have the time. i have an hour and need to fly.

my goal is to be 495 by january 2019. deadlifts have made me thick. mjuch thicker than if i never did them

back to the injury, i read that CERTAIN sarms can assist in quicker healing. Ostarine? or something. i asked the surgeon when contemplating surgery and his response was "synthetics have been known to work for healiong but i can't advise that. this is off the record"
