EDIT: Doing the third week of Gamma Bomb. Seeing progress week after week, this is all that matters.
The work is far from insane, but it's 12 weeks with increased volume week after week. Let's see.
I’m now on the seventh week of gamma bomb, doing a week of deload. To be honest I’m not 100% satisfied till now. I’m learning new training techniques and this is good, but the work is too weak. Especially on legs and shoulders. Let’s see what happens in the next six week that are focused on legs.
Before starting gamma bomb was training with phat 5 and the overall results was definitely better.
Next time I will try taskmaster it seems much more challenging.

Now in the forth week, my problem is exactly the new techniques in every workout.
John Meadows is a nice guy and like to keep thinks always interesting.
But I'm starting to think that would be better to maintain some key movements and just focus on progress/volume week after week.
One week you are doing heavy squats and the next you are doing up-side-down lunges with banded smith reverse squat bi-set. Well, you get the idea.
100% agree.I’m with you on that... it’d be better to have a rotation of the same exercises. Like a workout A and B for quads, etc.
Anybody getting the back manual that went love today?
Got it, hit you back lmk what you want for itSent it to ya brother. Enjoy
Both programs are a combination of strength and hypertrophy. I would have to say IMO if your aiming for more of a strength focus than “Program X” would be the choice. Don’t get my wrong I’ve made great strength progress with the PHAT program last year as well but along side of the power days the program utilized a lot of hypertrophy work as well. More than strength and power work. Both are great though either way.Looking to run a good strength program during my rebound before I get back to hypertrophy work during my bulk. What do y’all guys think:
Program X or PHAT?

Yeah in all honesty I ran it for a little over half the year last year and made some of the best progress of my life with it. Along side of proper diet and everything else was in check but it was great. Rotated power movements every 2-3 weeks and kept things fresh.Ya, I know I’ll end up running both at some point. I’m getting around 8% on this current cut, and although I’m maintaining my strength well, I think I can make some nice gains this offseason if I prime it with some more good strength work. I have some more time so I’ll keep looking through things and keep my options open for another month or 2. I ran PH3 last year and gained a TON of strength from it.

I’ve honestly never even looked into any of Layne Norton’s other programs. I just stumbled across the PHAT program and then really got into meadows myself. Funny you said that I’m on week 12 of Gamma Bomb right now. I have most of his other programs as well I think I’m gonna cycle through them for awhile. Gamma Bomb is the first program from him I’ve ever ran.Ya, I’ve read through a lot of info on it which got me turned onto it. I’m running Gamma Bomb now and I’m pretty sure I’ll be running another Meadows program during my bulk. So who knows, maybe I’ll try another Layne Norton program because he definitely specializes in strength.
