If youre the weight you say you are maintenance at the most extreme level would be 3300 kcal. That would be if you busted your ass 10 hours a day as a laborer or something of the sort. PLUS lifting. Id advise a 300 kcal surplus so bump to 3600 for a week and see what the scale says. If it doesnt go up cut any cardio if youre doing any. If not doing cardio try and cut your workouts TIME down. After trying that and not getting results bump up 150 kcal/week until you see the scale moving. In all honesty if youre really eating 3500 and not growing maybe you are not doing it right. Are you measuring or just assuming that this meal is a certain amount of calories? Cause you might not be eating as much as you think.

@vomiitDo you know your max squat, bench, deadlift?
Ass not raising off the bench
No leg momentum during ohp
Right at parallel for squats (Have a short achilles tendon so i get stuck due to mobility, ass to grass is a goal of mine)
Deadlift was without hitching it up & i cant round my back to throw up weight or ill be out for weeks due to the slipped discs.

I weighed everything, but trained bjj 6x per week HARD. As well as teaching private lessons where i always end up rolling for over an hour (sparring), and everyone is at least 6’0 200+ Lbs so it’s definitely not easy on my body.
My diet has been relatively the same since coming off, however i do a cheat meal every week now (usually just a bowl of icecream with the gf) and im putting on some weight. Also the bjj training has chilled a little due to it being winter and people tend to chill during these months.
whatever the case was, it resolved itself. I think it was a mixture of going too hard for too long at the gym, the gear raising my MBR, and training jiu jitsu everyday like i was some kind of superman. After a deload and a training program switch, one where i actually pay attention to RPE instead of trying to suck off my own ego lifting the absolute heaviest i can on every lift, i’ve been making some decent progress.

i measure meticulously, i was just afraid to go over 3500. Also, going ALL out in jiu jitsu for hours is just retarded to accomplish my weight gaining goals Without eating 4k +

So . . . what was the total testosterone number on your blood test? We are pretty damn curious out here, and you have been stringing us along for almost three months.

Well?

So what changes did you make? Up your calories? Reduce cardio? How did it work?
Reduced cardio & time in the gym
( i dont need the full 3mins to recover in between sets anymore due to the more efficient programming) and i WAS overtrained. I dont think many understand how hard i was actually going, jiu jitsu can tax your CNS by itself. Much less coupled with going to failure on every set.
Kept calories the same since everyone said they should be sufficient.
Now i’m gaining pretty nicely :D
