Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

70's is as low as it usually ever gets. 80+ isn't uncommon though. Sometimes it's normal on cycle on sometimes i wake up to 90's off cycle. I haven't been able to find much rhyme and reason except it's generally higher on higher dosages.

could just be your anxiety? how was your cholesterol last time you got blood work?

It's going back down. I really think it's the food or more accurately the amount of food. Breakfast was a bigger struggle than normal to finish this morning, but I forced it all down anyway. I generally feel like total shit for a couple hours after I eat, especially the earlier in the day meals. I gag a lot when I'm eating and the food has been coming back up throughout the day quite often. If i burp I'm usually puking in my mouth a little.

I wish i had the appetites some of y'all have. 6000+ calories a day is awful for me.

From January on my cruise with test and primo. I'm sure it's totally fucked right now with everything I'm on.

There was nothing to trigger any anxiety that I know of. Just a normal work day so far. The only things that ever get in my anxiety anymore are my pulse and breathing.

I've been dealing with a lot of stress with the ex lately, but stress has never given me anxiety in the past. It's always been much more specific. Although not getting enough sleep always makes me feel short of breath and raises my pulse. It's all tied together for me in those things. Pulse, blood pressure, breathing and getting enough sleep. When any or all of those things aren't what they need to be I feel really unwell.

I'm really thinking the eating is tied in as well though. I've taken my pulse before and after huge meals and it's much higher after. Which inevitably leads to not being able to breathe and feeling anxious. I'm a bit of a hypochondriac as well, so it's really hard to say for sure what's what.

Perrin, how about some digestive enzymes? It's an absolute necessity when eating at that level IMO, I take them with every meal when I'm balls deep in a cycle that includes a lot of food.

Look around at your supermarket and see if you can find fair priced kombucha or kefir soda. I prefer kefir soda personally, not as big on milk based kefir.

Even if you don't have anxiety, the stress can manifest itself through some of the symptoms you're feeling... Some well being excercises might be worth trying. It may sound silly but breathing exercises are very much worth doing when you find that it's jacked up. Some yoga type stretching can help plus you need to stretch anyways. Stuff like that.

At the end of the day, you're on a heavy cycle so let's not kid ourselves and say it's not the underlying culprit. It's good you're on top of it though, just gotta know when to fold.

I usually have a high pulse too as you know, it is a huge mental thing for me because as soon as I sense that it's a bit high it gets worse and worse.

I had to start on probiotics with the uptick in calories. I followed something that wunder had shared, it helped a lot. I have a shitty stomach as well... sucks sometimes...

It's well worth including them. I've been a proponent for a while. Not only does it help break down what you're putting in yourself, it makes you feel less bloated. I've found it helps with acid reflux/heartburn as well. Kefir soda is the bomb too... Gets kind of pricey when it's not on sale though.

I've been taking papaya enzymes twice a day. I'll have to check into the kefir at the store this weekend. How expensive is it and how often do you drink it?

Nah, I'm a believer in the meditation thing. Just haven't done any in ages.

I'm sure the massive cycle is the underlying culprit. Most of the time I feel phenomenal. The high pulse thing just absolutely ruins it though. Most of that really seems to be centered around large meals early in the day. Was really nice last weekend to just eat whatever and whenever like a normal person. The things we do to be great in this game.

Yeah, the whole mental thing that goes with the high pulse sucks. The majority of my anxiety was always about the fear of having a panic attack itself. Haven't had one in like a decade or more, but the high pulse and difficulty breathing feels like the beginning of one and i think that's what gets to me so much about it.

Interested in this soda you speak of. General supermarket item or specialty store?

You can get at most supermarkets, usually near the produce or organic section. Health food stores would probably have them too.

Around here it's around 3 bucks a bottle for the brand I like. It was 2 for 5 for the longest time though which was better. Walmart has it in produce area here and it's a bit cheaper but selection isn't usually that great. I just drink one bottle a day with dinner. Kevita is the kind I like, they have kombucha and kefir. You can look into kefir milk too, it's like a yogurt drink, it's okay I just like the soda version better... Very refreshing and it's not filled with sugar or anything.

Might have something to do with the amount of blood going to your stomach to assist in digestion...

^ I take the digestive enzymes too, they def help, not with every meal though. Usually with big carb meals or just anything hard to digest.

Digestive Health: Essential Enzymes 500mg

When/if you do buy it make sure its the broad spectrum type that works on whatever you're having. I got the one for protein, fats, and carbs combined.

Also the probiotic and apple cider vinegar help too. :) Kevita kombucha is amazing, I love that stuff. Kefir is pretty good too, there are a lot of fizzy types and nice flavors. Its a little sour but it grows on you.

Thanks. Gonna see what they have locally this weekend.

Beltless squats for speed 350lbs for 15x2
Sumo block pull 585x1, 585x1, 650x1 (PR)
Bulgarian split squats 135x7, 155x7, 165x7, 175x7, 185x7

Feeling beastly strong lately, sucks this blast ends next week. Tried focusing more on speed for my 15x2 today. Block pulls felt weird at first since i haven't done sumo in months, but ended up feeling easy and I went for 650. Probably could have done 675. Split squats i hadn't done in forever either, so i just kept adding weight. I think 185x7 was a PR on those.

^ peak set of sumo block pulls.
